The Knights of Columbus: In Service to One. In Service to All.

Opened in 2001, the Knights of Columbus Museum is just two blocks from the Supreme Council office, and features both special exhibits of religious art and history, and a large permanent exhibit showcasing the Order's history.

Directions to the Museum
 

From Union Street Train Station

Start out going northeast on Union Avenue, U.S. 1, toward Meadow Street. Proceed three blocks (about one-half mile) up to the intersection of State Street, North Frontage Road and Water Street. You will be facing the museum on State Street. The entrance is about 100 feet straight ahead.

Amtrak and Metro-North operate through New Haven's Union Station, which is a 10-minute walk to the museum and a short drive to downtown New Haven.

Amtrak travels through New Haven several times a day from locations between Washington, D.C., and Boston. For schedule information and to reserve a seat, visit www.amtrak.com (station code NHV) or call 1-800-USA-RAIL.

Metro-North Railroad provides flexible, inexpensive transportation between New Haven and Manhattan at least every hour. No reservation is needed and tickets can be purchased right up to the time of departure. Visit www.mta.nyc.ny.us/mnr/ for information on train lines and schedules.

When Driving From Hartford and Points North

Take I-91 South to Exit 1, which is Route 34. Merge right as soon as you get onto Route 34 and take Exit 1. At the end of the exit, you will see an intersection with a flashing yellow light on the right, and a sign for the Knights of Columbus Museum. Take the right that passes through the intersection. You will be driving on Orange Street between the Knights of Columbus Supreme Council office and the former New Haven Coliseum. Take the first right onto George Street. Drive to the first traffic light on George Street and make a right onto State Street. Bear all the way to your left and the museum garage entrance will be 200 feet up on the left.

When Driving From New York and Points West

Take I-95 North to Exit 47, a left exit for Route 34 and Downtown New Haven. As soon as you get onto Route 34 merge right and take Exit 1. You will be alongside the former New Haven Coliseum. You will see an intersection with a flashing yellow light on the right, and a sign announcing the Knights of Columbus Museum. Take a right and pass through the intersection. You will be driving on Orange Street between the Knights of Columbus Supreme Council office and the former New Haven Coliseum. Take the first right onto George Street. Drive to the first traffic light on George Street and make a right onto State Street. Bear all the way to your left and the museum garage entrance will be 200 feet up on the left.

When Driving From Rhode Island and Points East

Take I-95 South to Exit 47 for Downtown New Haven and Route 34. As soon as you get on Route 34 bear to the right and take Exit 1. You will be alongside the former New Haven Coliseum.
