College Knights Mission Trip to Mexico City – March 2019

College Knights Mission Trip to Mexico City

We are excited to inform you of a new and exciting opportunity for college Knights! This spring, the Fellowship of Catholic University Students (FOCUS) is organizing a mission trip and pilgrimage to Mexico City, exclusively available to college Knights!

The dates of this incredible trip will be March 15-24, 2019. The cost is $1,550, and FOCUS will be providing guidance and assistance with fundraising, should you be accepted.

In the heart of this massive and culturally fascinating metropolis, you'll be working intensely with other Knights and Hope of the Poor for those on the farthest edges of society: anyone from homeless children and elderly, infirm women, or families living in extreme conditions to survive. Not only that, you'll get the opportunity to encounter Our Lady of Guadalupe at the National Basilica, the most visited pilgrimage site in the entire world, nearly every day. You’ll also be able to go on ‘The Pilgrimage of St. Juan Diego,’ walking in his footsteps along with the footsteps of Knights from the early 1900’s.

The itinerary is still being finalized, but a preliminary outline of the trip is as follows:

  • Friday: Arrive in Houston
  • Saturday: Depart Houston, Arrive in Mexico City
  • Sunday: Visit Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe
  • Monday: Serve at women’s shelter
