Health Programs

Knights of Columbus volunteers promote healthy lifestyles and health in the community through a wide range of programs.

Knights of Columbus participate in a variety of health service initiatives. Councils regularly join in national programs bringing public attention to heart disease, the dangers of smoking, and alcohol and drug abuse. Members help raise money for medical research and expansion of medical facilities. Knights at all levels of the Order report raising nearly $4 million for health service organizations and hospitals on an annual basis.

Knights regularly organize and conduct blood drives. Yearly reports indicate nearly 370,000 blood donors at Knights of Columbus-sponsored drives. Knights and their families regularly volunteer at veterans' hospitals, hospices and other health care facilities.
