Experience of a Lifetime
2006-07 Membership Campaign

During the 2006-07 fraternal year each Knight was charged with the task of sharing the “Experience of a Lifetime” with other Catholic men.

Councils were asked to share the many benefits of membership in the Order with other Catholic men and their families by asking them to join our Order, thus making the Knights of Columbus grow larger than ever before.

During the past fraternal year, all recruiters received 500 recruitment reward points for every new or readmitted member they recruited. These points are redeemable for Knights of Columbus merchandise offered by the Supreme Council Promotional and Gift Department. Points were awarded to 16,133 recruiters for their efforts in asking eligible Catholic men to join the Order.

Top Recruiter

Cadet Paul Kearney of Msgr. Cornelius George O’Keefe Council 8250 at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point received the Top Recruiter Award for the 2006-07 fraternal year.

Supreme Chaplain Bishop William E. Lori, New York Past State Deputy Anthony L. Preziosi Jr., Cadet Kearney and Supreme Knight Carl A. Anderson.

He proposed 89 new members into the Order last year while maintaining a very rigorous schedule. He also played a major role in his council’s membership increase this year – as the council surpassed its membership net gain goal by 568 percent, attaining Double Star Council status and achieving the Century Club Award with a net gain of 125 members.

As a special recruitment incentive, the Order’s Top Recruiter was awarded a trip to the Supreme Convention in Nashville. New York Past State Deputy and Mrs. Anthony Preziosi and State Deputy and Mrs. Ed Castellazzi escorted Cadet Kearney when he was honored for Top Recruiter Award at the convention.

Century Club

Councils that add 100 members over their suspensions and withdrawals earn the Order’s prestigious Century Club Award. This year, six councils qualified for the Century Club Award, accounting for 724 new members.

The Century Club Award winners are:

1. Grand Mère (Quebec) Council 1209 – 156 members
2. Msgr. Cornelius George O’Keefe Council 8250, West Point, N.Y. – 125 members
3. Rosarian Council 10104 –Abang Baliaug, Luzon – 120 members
4. Asturias Council 7396 – Cebu, Visayas – 112 members
5. San Roque Council 13261 – Lipata Minglanilla, Cebu, Visayas – 110 members
6. Memorare Council 3476 – Seaford, N.Y. – 101 members.
