District 18 Knights manned a Knights of Columbus booth at the Montgomery County Fair in Gaithersburg. The booth sought to recruit new members, collect money for the districts annual fund drive, and celebrate the Orders 125th anniversary. Knights collected more than $2,000 over eight days for people with intellectual disabilities.

Presentation Council 6033 in Upper Saddle River held its annual golf outing to benefit its scholarship fund and a Haitian medical mission. Since the event began, Knights have raised more than $100,000 for charity.

St. James of the Marches Council 6574 in Totowa donated several adjustable tables to the Department of Children and Families Regional School. Since many of the schools students use wheelchairs, having adjustable tables that can be raised and lower was essential.
Father James A. Russell Council 11409 in Warren awarded its annual Pope John Paul II Award to Daniel Johnson, a high school graduate attending Manhattan College. The award was established by former council chaplain Msgr. William Benwell and includes a $500 stipend to pursue a higher education.
Mary Immaculate Council 12769 in Secaucus donated $500 each to seminarians Julius Lucero and Edinson Ramirez through the Orders Refund Support Vocations Program (RSVP). The council also donated $1,157 proceeds from a spring raffle to Father James Tucker for use at Immaculate Conception Church.
Mary Immaculate Council 12769 in Secaucus held a fundraiser to benefit the Franciscan Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart in Fairview. The sisters have been trying to open a community development center and asked the Knights for aid. Council 12769 raffled signed New York Giants memorabilia and raised $2,500.

Knights from Berkshire County, Mass., and Columbia County marched in the annual Pittsfield Independence Day parade. Knights rode on a float that celebrated the Orders 125th anniversary.

Port Jervis Council 471 provided lunch for campers and counselors at the Port Jervis Youth Summer Program. Knights served lunch to nearly 50 people.
Volunteers from Monroe Council 2079 joined members of American Legion Post 488 to prepare and serve a barbecue lunch for the patients, families and staff of the Castle Point VA Hospital.
Brasher Falls Council 2176 runs a Pennies From Heaven collection at its parish each month to support a local seminarian. Most recently, the council donated $500 to Nicholas Newtown, who is studying for the priesthood.
Alfred E. Smith Council 3005 in Elmont made a donation to Good Counsel Homes, a pro-life shelter for homeless mothers. Good Counsel Homes is a Catholic agency that works closely with the Sisters of Life, who also run Villa Maria Guadalupe, the Orders retreat house in Stamford, Conn. When a statue of the Virgin Mary was vandalized at St. Marthas Church, members of Robert W. Powell Council 3488 in Uniondale made plans to properly retire the statue. Knights dug a hole on parish property where the statue was buried.

Niskayuna Council 8121 celebrated its 25th anniversary with a banquet and donation to local CYO sports director, Father Bob Longobucco. The council donated more than $1,600 for the purchase of a new scoreboard. Father Longobucco serves as sports director for St. Helens Church and Our Lady of Fatima Church.
St. Ritas Council 14219 in Brooklyn raised $1,000 for its parish youth group. The money was collected during a parish raffle and will help fund new athletic equipment for the youth group.

Pittsburgh Knights provided an honor guard for Father Matthew Talarico during his first Mass at St. Boniface Church. Woodlawn Council 2161 in Aliquippa provided Father Talarico with financial assistance during his studies at the Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest in Florence, Italy. The institute is a pontifical religious order that trains priests to celebrate the traditional Latin Mass.
Rev. Raymond F. Dugan Council 935 in Reynoldsville held a baby bottle drive at St. Marys Church and St. Joseph Church. Knights collected nearly $3,000, which was distributed to Citizens Concerned for Human Life.
Sarto Council 1322 in Ashland renovated and painted the St. Josephs Chapel at St. Josephs Convent in Ashland. The convent is home to the Sister Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, who teach at the local elementary school.
