DALLAS, TX - David A. Bellendier, 49, was elected to the Knights of Columbus Board of Directors at the Catholic lay organization’s international meeting in Dallas, Aug. 4. Bellendier is a 20-year member of the Knights. He served as head of the 30,000-member Iowa Knights of Columbus from 2000-02. Bellendier becomes a member of the Knights' 25-member board and will help set policy for the organization. He has been elected for a three-year term.
A 1977 graduate of Loras College in Dubuque, Bellendier is manager of operations employment at Rockwell Collins in Cedar Rapids, where he oversees all the human resources functions for the company's bargaining unit employees including labor relations issues and contract negotiations.
Bellendier has served on the Iowa Business Council and with Big Brothers/Big Sisters in addition to his extensive volunteer efforts with the Knights of Columbus.
He and his wife Julie are the parents of two daughters.
