WHEREAS, the Knights of Columbus is justly proud of its insurance program which carries out an essential element of the vision of our founder, Father Michael J. McGivney; and

WHEREAS, we recognize that membership in the Order should be offered to every eligible Catholic man; and

WHEREAS, membership in the Order is enhanced when access to our insurance program is available to our members; and

WHEREAS, the Board of Directors has concluded that access to our insurance program may help to increase membership in Mexico and provide protection to the families and beneficiaries of our Mexican members who die;

REFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Supreme Council, at its meeting held in Dallas, Texas, August 3-5, 2004, hereby ratifies and approves the initiative of the Board of Directors to introduce one or more of our insurance products into Mexico on such terms and conditions and on such timetable as it may determine to be appropriate and feasible.
