Membership and Recruitment Awards
Experience of a Lifetime
2007-08 Membership Campaign
During the 2007-08 fraternal year, each Knight was charged with the task of sharing the “Experience of a Lifetime” with other Catholic men.
Councils were asked to share the many benefits of membership in the Order with other Catholic men and their families by asking them to join our Order, and thus making the Knights of Columbus grow larger than ever before.
During the 125th Anniversary year, all recruiters received 1,000 recruitment reward points for every new or readmitted member they recruited into the Order.
These points are redeemable for Knights of Columbus merchandise through the Supreme Council Supply Department. Points were awarded to 16,915 recruiters for their efforts in asking eligible Catholic men to join the Order.
Antonio Perez Ramirez from Senor de la Piedad Council 5848 in La Piedad, Mexico, was recipient of the Orderwide Top Recruiter Award.
As a special recruitment incentive, the Order’s Top Recruiter for the fraternal year received a trip to the Supreme Council meeting in Quebec City.
Perez proposed 219 new members into the Order last fraternal year while maintaining a rigorous schedule as the state warden for the Mexico Central jurisdiction.
Mexico Central Past State Deputy and Mrs. Jorge Humberto Yeo Gudiño and State Deputy and Mrs. Juan Fernando Brand-Ayala joined Perez at the supreme convention award ceremony.
Councils that add 100 members over their suspensions and withdrawals become winners of the Order’s prestigious Century Club Award. Five councils, accounting for 735 new members, qualified for the Century Club Award.
