New Council Development
New Council Development and council reactivation continue to be the foundation of the Order’s growth and our goal to establish a Knights of Columbus presence in every parish. During the past fraternal year, 206 new councils were instituted and 57 councils were reactivated.
A state deputy attaining the new council development quota for his jurisdiction receives the Supreme Knight’s New Council Development Award. This plaque bears a replica of the jewel of office for the state deputy and lists the councils instituted during the fraternal year.
