Luzon District #21 participated in a tree-planting activity along Viola Highway. Knights planted approximately 120 seedlings to replace trees that had died.

Father Gregorio Crisostomo Assembly in Calumpit worked at the Bulacan provincial disaster management center to package relief goods for the victims of recent typhoons that submerged the towns of Hagonoy and Paombong and inundated the homes and businesses of many citizens, including several Knights of Columbus. Unable to cross the raging waters to bring relief to their brothers, assembly members repackaged goods for distribution.

Past Grand Knight Bonifacio R. Isidro Assembly in San Rafael provided an honor guard for a procession marking the feast of St. Rafael Sept. 29. Members of St. John of God Council 8754 provided additional crowd control during the event, which also included a novena Mass.

Benigno S. Aquino Jr. Assembly in Tarlac City provided an honor guard for the procession of a traveling image of Our Lady of Manaoag when the image visited San Sebastian Village.

Zambales Council 3694 sponsored a feeding program for students from the Asian Development Bank School Assistance Program.

Holy Cross Council 4104 in Laguna co-sponsored a blood drive with Immaculate Conception Parish. Knights provided food for all blood donors.

Father Antonissen Council 4363 in Bagabag co-hosted a novena Mass Sept. 29 in honor of the feast of St. Jerome, followed by a town-wide procession. The next day, Knights participated in a high Mass with Bishop Ramon P. Villena of Bayombong that was capped by a pulled pork luncheon party.

Father Crisostomo Council 6000 and Father Crisostomo Circle 2047, both in Cabanatuan City, joined forces on a tree-planting activity and a medicine distribution for needy citizens living in the mountainous region of Sitio Bacao.

Members of Pulilan Council 6105 in Bulacan and Medal of the Miraculous Virgin Council 12624 in Balatong join the Philippine Army in sorting relief packages for the victims of two recent typhoons.

San Idlefonso Council 7843 cleans the area surrounding its parish every month. The council also conducted a tree-planting activity in Pulong Bayabas.

Mendez-Nuñez Council 8219 hosted a feeding program for children at St. Peter Daycare Center. The council also planted more than 100 new trees in three area villages.

Members of Mary, Cause of Our Joy Council 8447 in Soldier's Hill attended a lecture on devotion to Divine Mercy Sept. 24 at their parish. The council also participated in a tree-planting activity as part of Muntinlupa City's "Clean and Green" program.

St. John of God Council 8754 in San Rafael celebrated the Nativity of Mary Sept. 8 with a dawn rosary, serenade and Mass. The council also assisted with recent typhoon relief by collecting bottled water, used clothing and nonperishable food items for those affected by the flooding. Finally, the council celebrated October as the month of the rosary by hosting rosary prayer sessions each Wednesday and a prayer rally.

Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Council 11791 in Lower Bicutan participated in a Knights of Columbus Tree-Planting Project. Knights from throughout Luzon converged on the Lamesa Watershed to plant a number of new saplings.

St. Matthew Council 12051 in Tarlac participated in a tree-planting activity Sept. 18. Knights planted 100 seedlings in Tarlac City.

The Holy Spirit Council 13919 in Malolos City prepared food for evacuees of the recent typhoons and flooding in the Philippines.

Following a July 5 bombing at Immaculate Conception Cathedral, Cotabato City Council 3504 volunteered to serve as marshals outside the church each Sunday during Mass. Fifty Knights patrol the perimeter of the cathedral compound for 13 hours, checking all vehicles that enter the area, as well as suspicious packages. The K of C-sponsored guard is organized in close collaboration with the Philippine National Police and the Philippine Army. The council also routinely provides food for all volunteers.

Our Mother of Perpetual Help Council 12835 in Bagontaas is leading a team that will help construct its new parish church. The building will cost an estimated 20 million pesos ($459,000).

Members of Our Mother of Perpetual Help Council 12835 in Bagontaas put up signs and streamers at their parish in preparation for a feast day novena Oct. 16.

Sañto Niño Mohon Parish Council 9429 in Cebu sponsored a feeding program for needy children at Mohon Elementary School.

St. Paul Council 10775 in Inabanga participated in a procession at its parish with an icon of the Holy Trinity. The council also added soil to an embankment next to its new parish convent building to prevent the area from collapsing in heavy rains.
