Our Lady of Victory Council 6563 in Red Deer held its annual spaghetti dinner and silent auction Feb. 10. The event at St. Mary's Church also featured a silent auction and a 50/50 raffle. The dinner generated $2,675 for the council's charitable fund.

Brandon Council 1435 erected a pro-life billboard on a plot of land owned by Herman Aquin, a 60-year council member, and his wife, Flora. The billboard is situated on the Trans-Canada Highway.

The St. Ann's Round Table, which is sponsored by Bishop Coudert Council 6232 in Whitehorse hosted a chili festival that raised $200 for a soup kitchen operated by the Society of St. Vincent de Paul. Attendees had the opportunity to sample different kinds of chili and vote on their favorites in a variety of categories, like hottest and most exotic.
