Cardinal John Cody Assembly in Chicago provided an honor guard for the opening ceremony of the Hines Veterans Games at the Edward Hines Jr. VA Hospital. Eighty-five veterans, many with disabilities, competed in the games.

Leo Council 716 in Carbon Cliff held a food drive April 21-22 that netted $1,664 in cash donations and approximately 190 pounds of food for the food pantry at St. Mary Church in Moline.

O'Fallon Council 4239 hosted its 13th annual golf classic to benefit organizations that work with people with intellectual disabilities. The event raised close to $15,000. The day following the tournament, Knights volunteered at the Special Olympics Spring Games at Southern Illinois University. Council members assisted athletes during track and field events.

Father Paul Kunkel Council 4739 in Byron hosted a scrap metal drive to benefit its parish youth group. Knights accepted donations for four hours, and the metal netted $1,000 after being sold to a scrap dealer.

George R. Kutterer Council 6165 in Columbia donated $30,000 toward the construction of Immaculate Conception Church, completing a total contribution of $110,000. Funds for the donation were generated through council-sponsored fish frys over the past six years, as well as from the sale of a council meeting facility many years ago.

Through multiple fundraisers, including a silent auction, Villa Park Council 8365 raised $5,000 for St. Alexander School.

Members of St. Louis de Montfort Council 14553 in Oak Lawn demolish a shed at the home of three people with intellectual disabilities, who live together under the supervision of Garden Center Services. Knights removed the shed after it became a safety hazard. Garden Center Services provides residential alternatives to people with special needs.

Richmond Assembly and Father John R. Hogan Assembly in Port Huron provided an honor guard at the tomb of Christ at St. Mary's Church following Good Friday Mass.

Mason Council 9182 held a benefit fish fry to raise funds to rebuild the St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store in Lansing, which was destroyed by fire in December 2011. The event raised $6,000 to help rebuild the facility.

Leo Council 957 in Findlay hosted an Eagle Scout ceremony at its hall for Boy Scout Troop #319, which the council sponsors. Knights provide a meeting place for the troop, as well as scholarships to attend camp and other needs. In return, the troop helps maintain the grounds of the council hall.

Members of Marysville Council 5534 spread new soil on the lawn at Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery after it was damaged by a truck that used the cemetery as a turn-around. The rig and trailer cut deep ruts into the cemetery grounds, and after a month without any police leads, council members decided to fix the damage themselves. Knights spread new soil to level the damaged lawn and planted new grass seed.

Archbold Council 7552 held a series of Lenten fish frys that raised $6,000 for the St. Peter Parish building fund. Knights have donated $50,000 to the building fund over the past decade.

Pere Rene Menard Assembly in Wausau provided an honor guard for a Mass celebrating the 65th ordination anniversary of Father Donald Berg, who has been a Knight for more than 60 years and who served previously as the assembly's faithful friar. The assembly also provided an honor guard for the closing of an area 40 Days for Life campaign on Holy Thursday outside of a contraception provider.

Our Lady of Lourdes Assembly in Oshkosh participated in a Mass for students from the four Catholic schools of Oshkosh. In addition to providing an honor guard for the Mass, Knights also led a discussion about the Order, the significance of the K of C colors, and the meaning of the U.S. and Papal flags.
