The 41 K of C Councils of Orange County hosted a "Day of Sharing" for area adults and children with intellectual disabilities. Each council sponsored a different booth at the event offering food, activities or games.

Father John Crowley Assembly in China Lake provided an honor guard for the naming of the parish hall at St. Ann Church. The hall was named in honor of Msgr. Kevin Cleary, who was pastor of the church for many years.

Members of Father John Crowley Council 3199 in Ridgecrest spread 10 tons of new sand at the playground at St. Ann School to ensure that the area meets local and state safety standards. This project, coupled with the installation of high-speed Internet in St. Ann classrooms, saved the school around $5,000.

Stella Maris Council 3772 in San Clemente bought and prepared lunch for 250 students and their parents at Our Lady of Fatima School for the school's "Roundup Days" luncheon. The Knights served hot dogs, chili and cornbread, and the leftovers were donated to a soup kitchen in San Juan Capistrano.

St. Victor Council 4112 in San Jose presented awards to the top fire and police officers of the year at special ceremonies on April 20 and May 3, respectively.

Msgr. Paul Martin Council 7519 in San Juan Capistrano hosted a barbeque, silent auction, and country-western concert and dance to raise funds for people with intellectual disabilities. More than 250 people "kicked up their heels" to music provided by The Silverados, a local country-western group, and the event raised more than $8,000.

Members of Epiphany Council 11033 in San Francisco cook kebobs outside of their parish following Sunday Mass. The council and its ladies' auxiliary grill pork kebobs and offer ethnic dishes for sale throughout the day, raising money for the parish and for the Knights' charitable fund.

St. Michael Council 11632 in Poway conducted a pancake breakfast and silent auction to benefit the widows and children of Navy SEALS who were killed in a helicopter crash in 2011. The event raised more than $2,400 for the soldiers' families.

St. Ignatius of Loyola Council 12853 in San Jose presented a $500 Refund Support Vocations Program (RSVP) scholarship to an area seminarian. Since the council was chartered in 2001, it has provided more than $18,000 in financial aid to 24 seminarians.

Members of St. James the Apostle Council 14531 and St. Benedict Circle 5531, both in Fremont, stand in front of the memorial cross constructed by the council in honor of deceased members of the Order. Knights built the cross and its base from scratch, and Fourth Degree Knights from three area assemblies provided an honor guard for the memorial's dedication.

St. Damien Assembly in Makakilo provided an honor guard for Bishop Clarence R. Silva of Honolulu during a confirmation Mass at St. Joseph Waipahu Church.

Father Chirouse Council 5816 in Lynnwood created a walkway to a prayer garden at St. Thomas More Church. Knights paved and landscaped the area around a statue of the church's patron saint.

St. Joseph Council 11611 in Otis Orchards pruned the trees and shrubs on its parish property in anticipation of festivities on Mother's Day.
