K of C units from throughout Northwest Arkansas collected $24,400 to purchase a new ultrasound machine for the Loving Choices Pregnancy Center through the Knights of Columbus Ultrasound Initiative. The funds were collected during a number of coordinated pro-life baby bottle drives.

Hot Springs Council 6419 and Daniel Patrick Sullivan Council 10208 hosted its annual golf tournament to benefit the scholarship fund at St. John School. The event included breakfast and lunch for all those in attendance, and raised $5,000 for the school.

Bishop Flaget Council 13053 in Prospect organized a parish-wide tag sale to raised funds for St. Bernadette Church. The event raised $9,300, which will be used to purchase new vestments for the parish priest, deacons and altar servers.

An honor guard from Bishop Daniel F. Desmond Assembly in Shreveport looks on as a Ten Commandments monument is dedicated at St. Pius X Church with assistance from Bishop Michael G. Duca of Shreveport, Deacon Jeff Chapman and Father Joseph Kallookalam. Shreveport Council 1108 donated the monument to the church.

Marquette Council 1437 in New Orleans hosted its annual family picnic for 75 Knights and their families. The day's activities included a number of old-fashioned games coupled, of course, with plenty of food.

St. Theresa Council 2657 in Gonzales partnered with an area grocery store to solicit donations for St. Elizabeth's Community Clinic, a facility that provides medical services to low-income families with no insurance. The grocery store accepted donations at two locations, and the funds will be used to purchase blood and urinalysis diagnostic testing equipment.

Our Lady of Perpetual Help Council 3425 in New Iberia served lunch to members of the Louisiana National Guard's 256th Bravo Company during the unit's annual training exercises. Knights served homemade chicken and sausage jambalaya to about 300 men and women of the National Guard.

Father P.J. Ryan Council 610 in Chattanooga sponsored two teams in the Chattanooga Mud Run Aug. 11 to benefit Habitat for Humanity.

Father E.F. Callahan Council 3837 in Union City assisted seminarian Ruben V. Rivera by providing him with transportation to his summer classes at the University of Tennessee. Rivera is currently a first-year seminarian with the Diocese of Memphis.

K of C councils from throughout North Texas raised $25,000 to purchase a new ultrasound for the ABBA Women's Center in Gainesville through the Knights of Columbus Ultrasound Initiative.

Good Shepherd Council 6358 in Schertz donated $1,500 to the Casa de Padres Retirement Center in San Antonio to support the retired priests who live at the facility. The council also donated $1,000 to the Warrior and Family Support Center at Fort Sam Houston to aid wounded soldiers who have returned from combat and their families. Finally, Knights contributed $2,500 to John Paul II High School to assist with the school's programs.

St. Margaret Mary Council 7600 in Cedar Park hosted its annual garage sale at St. Margaret Mary Church Sept. 8-9. The event netted $4,500 for the council's charitable fund.
