Onawa-Blencoe Council 6249 sponsored a breakfast Dec. 9, 2012, at St. John Church. In exchange for an all-you-can-eat breakfast, diners were asked either to bring an unwrapped toy for the council's Christmas toy drive or make a goodwill donation to the Simple House of Sts. Francis and Alphonsus, a lay missionary apostolate that serves poor neighborhoods. More than 140 people came to support the event.

Salina Council 601 erected two permanent pro-life billboards along I-70 and I-135, respectively.

St. Mary, Queen of the Universe Council 8196 in Salina raised more than $6,000 for Saline County ARC during the council's annual fund drive for people with intellectual disabilities. The funds were presented during the council's annual Christmas party.

Church of the Resurrection Council 11692 in Wichita raised $3,752 during its annual fund drive for people with intellectual disabilities. The funds were distributed to the special needs fund at Resurrection School, Rainbows United, Heartspring and Special Olympics.

Members of Father William Blum Council 3656 in New Hope, St. Thomas Aquinas Circle 1480 in Minneapolis and their families volunteered to pack meals for Feed My Starving Children, an organization that sends nutritious, hand-packed meals to malnourished children in 70 countries around the world. Knights traveled to one of FMSC's distribution centers to work.

St. Benedict Council 8337 in Duluth hosted a Coats for Kids drive at its parish. Knights purchased 24 coats for needy children through the program, while parishioners donated an additional 76 jackets and $1,000 in cash.

District Deputy Mark Petty of Missouri District #41 provided support for a large Catholic family that gathered in the St. Louis area to mourn the loss of Adam Muffler, a U.S. Marine who took his own life after struggling with post-traumatic stress disorder. Muffler's family contacted Petty to assist with finding a venue to accommodate more than 120 mourners following the funeral, which Petty was able to do with the assistance of a local church in only two days.

St. Louis Council 453 held a pro-life baby bottle drive during the month of November that raised more than $3,000. The funds will be used to purchase an ultrasound machine for a local pregnancy resource center.

During November, St. Bridget, Sons of Mercy Council 13113 in Pleasant Hill sponsored special collections at all weekend Masses at its parish to help those affected by Hurricane Sandy. The collections took in $460, which the council matched for a total contribution of $920. A young parishioner, Catie Davis, also had a birthday during the month and, in lieu of gifts, asked her friends to donate to the fund. Davis raised an additional $173.

St. Clement of Rome Council 13604 in Des Peres hosted a pancake breakfast to raise funds to send care packages to U.S. troops stationed overseas. Using the net profits from the breakfast, Knights assembled 13 care packages at their monthly meeting.

Beatrice Council 1723 cooked bratwurst and hamburgers for the annual Governor's Pheasant Hunt and Clay Shoot.

Members of Pope John Paul II Circle 5517 in Ralston sort and bag chocolate chip cookies that they made for the Salvation Army prior to Thanksgiving. Using the kitchen at St. Gerald Church, Squires cooked approximately 6,000 cookies.
