Hot Springs Council 6419 raised more than $4,700 for First Step during the council's annual fund drive for people with intellectual disabilities.

St. Jude Council 11604 and Bishop Edward Fitzgerald Assembly, both in in Jacksonville, co-sponsored a flag retirement ceremony. Knights properly retired more than 60 U.S. flags that were no longer suitable for display before hosting a barbecue dinner that raised more than $1,000 for charity. The council also hosted a voter registration drive prior to the U.S. presidential election in November.

Karl A. Christ Jr. Council 12778 in Heber Springs installed underground drains for the downspouts along the portico of St. Albert Church, diverting the water from the walkway in front of the church. This eliminates a hazard created by precipitation, freezing rain and snowmelt.

Bienville Assembly in New Orleans hosted a talk by Bert Stolier, a warrant officer from the U.S. Marines who survived the attack on Pearl Harbor and went on to have a distinguished career in the Pacific theater during World War II.

Marquette Council 1437 in New Orleans collected more than 18 bags of clothes for the Ozanam Inn, a local homeless shelter, during a council-sponsored clothing drive. The council also donated food and funds to Immaculate Conception Church for the church's Thanksgiving food drive.

Msgr. Peter M. H. Wynhoven Council 3091 in Westwego volunteered with Second Harvesters to distribute food and turkeys to 200 needy families prior to Thanksgiving. The council also cooked for the annual senior citizens Christmas party hosted by the Westwego Police Department. Knights prepared more than 300 meals, some of which were personally delivered to shut-ins.

Members of Msgr. Tjebbe Bekema Council 12060 in Thibodaux provided a gift card to their pastor at their parish's annual Christmas gathering. Knights also prepared three turkeys for the event.

St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Council 7850 in Plano erected two "Keep Christ in Christmas" signs at its parish. Knights also raised more than $5,500 for charities that support the deaf and handicapped during the council's annual fund drive for people with intellectual disabilities.

Msgr. Maurice C. Deason Council 8141 in Austin teamed with Boy Scout Troop 413 to donate 100 turkeys to local churches, food banks and other organizations that assist the needy. Knights and Boy Scouts also cooked 352 turkeys for a joint fundraiser.

St. John Council 8190 in Luling donated a new wheelchair to the rehabilitation unit at the Hillcrest Manor Nursing Home. The wheelchair will assist patients and residents who are undergoing physical rehabilitation.

Santa Cruz Council 9038 in Buda hosted its annual Christmas meal for 275 area senior citizens. After announcing the meal throughout the community, Knights prepared and served the free meal to all those in attendance.
