On Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012, Bishop Fenwick Assembly in Norwalk provided an honor guard for a special Mass at Our Lady of Solace Church in Brooklyn. Bishop Nicholas A. DiMarzio of Brooklyn celebrated Mass at the church, which was hit very hard by Hurricane Sandy. Assembly members, through St. Matthew Church in Norwalk, have helped Our Lady of Solace by providing supplies and Christmas gifts to parishioners there.

Pinta Council 5 in Wallingford donated 24 coats for boys and girls to Master's Manna through the Order's Coats for Kids program.

In response to the tragic school shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School, Virgilius Council 185 in Newtown is hosting a "Three Hail Marys" prayer drive to pray for the community, the victims and their families. Council 185 also joined with Sacred Heart Council 5780 in Madison to acquire 500 rosaries from the Supreme Council to hand out to mourners, family members and students at St. Rose of Lima Church.

St. Edward Council 12968 in New Fairfield constructed a new life-size nativity for display at St. Edward the Confessor Church. Knights assisted with all aspects of the project, from engineering and design to construction.

Pine Cone Council 114 in Bangor marched with a "Keep Christ in Christmas" float in the Bangor Rotary Festival of Lights Parade. Knights worked with students from All Saints Catholic School to assemble and disassemble the float, which featured a nativity scene constructed by a council member.

St. Joseph Council 12941 in Biddeford raised more than $3,200 during its annual fund drive for people with intellectual disabilities. The funds were distributed among a number of charitable agencies.

Santa Maria Council 105 in Malden sponsored one of the Order's traveling icons of Our Lady of Guadalupe at Sacred Heart Church. The icon was present at the church for four days, during which Masses and rosary devotions were held.

St. Mary's Council 14298 in Jefferson donated $400 to help defray the cost of a mission trip taken by Knights Chris Daniel and Jack Dolan to Haiti. Both men traveled with other volunteers to Grand Goave to help build an orphanage with the Be Like Brit Foundation, an organization named for a U.S. university student who died in the January 2010 earthquake while on a humanitarian trip. In particular, Daniel and Dolan taught local Haitians how to use modern tools to aid the building process.

Father Jordan J. Dillon Council 3564 in North Providence held a "St. Lucy's Party" for area residents with visual impairments. The evening included Mass and a ravioli dinner sponsored by the Rhode Island State Council and prepared by Council 3564.

Lincoln Council 4005 collected and wrapped more than 100 Christmas gifts for needy members of the community. The gifts were given to a local Catholic organization for distribution.

Father Martin F. Clancy Jr. Council 6816 in Manchester presented a $1,000 scholarship to Caleb Parker and a $500 scholarship to Daniel Frank.

Members of St. Edmund of Canterbury Council 7669 in Swanton went Christmas caroling throughout Swanton Dec. 16, 2012. Knights were joined by special guest State Deputy Thomas F. Curran and his wife, Nancy.
