Message from CT Chief State Squire

Dear Squires and Parents,

Newtown is left breathless as we encounter one of the most traumatic school shootings in our nation's history. For the teachers who committed heroic acts to save the children of their school, you deserve our respect and gratitude. We pray for the teachers who lost their lives trying to protect those children who were most dear to them. We remember the children who will never be able to live their lives and go on to do the many things that would have changed the world. We must comfort those teachers and children who have been affected by this, and show them that we are all here for them. All we can do now is be here for each other. My heart, thoughts and prayers go out to each of the families who have lost loved ones and everyone of you. Like all tragedies that have occurred in history, we will get through this, but we will get through this together. There is a reason for everything, all we have to do is trust in God's plan. Remember one thing: With God, all things are possible.

Pray for Newtown and for all those who will not be able to live their lives.
