Supreme Knight Carl A. Anderson June 27 sent a letter to Archbishop Angel Lagdameo, president of the Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines, informing him that the Knights of Columbus has wired $25,000 to the Caritas Filipinas Foundation “to assist recovery efforts following the devastating Typhoon Frank (Fengshen) that struck the Philippines last week.”

At least 598 people have died because of the storm, which triggered widespread flooding and mudslides. “Besides this financial support, please be assured of a special place in our prayers for all those affected by this devastating storm,” Anderson said.
