August 5, 2012
At the end of this long and fruitful day of prayer, reflection and celebration, let us give thanks to God for such a beautiful opportunity to pay homage to our Mother, the Mother of God, Our Lady of Guadalupe, La Virgencita Morena del Tepeyac!
Before we conclude with the final blessing with the sacred relic of the holy tilma, let us settle our hearts and minds so that we can offer one final prayer to Our Lady.
O Mother! Bright star of the first evangelization of the New World!
we who seek to follow your Son in faith, hope and love.
Accompany us in his Catholic Church
in our continental mission of the new evangelization.
Guide us, as once again,
we seek to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ
to the nations of America!
O gentle Lady of Tepeyac,
help us in our daily apostolate.
In all the actions of our daily lives,
may we carry your image of maternal tenderness to our brothers and sisters.
May we bring your Divine Son
to live in the hearts of all who hunger for God.
Help us to become the saints we are meant to be.
Lead us so that we will always be
instruments of God’s designs,
doing everything for the Lord’s glory.
Until our world is filled with the light of Christ
and the values of his Gospel.
Our Lady of Guadalupe,
Pray for us!
