BLESSED MICHAEL MCGIVNEY PRAYER HOUR
Blessed Michael McGivney founded the Knights of Columbus so that men could live their faith deeply and put that faith into action. In order to better understand Father McGivney and the core principles on which he founded our order, every council is invited to pray the Blessed Michael McGivney Prayer Hour. This guided rosary with readings and reflections on Blessed Michael McGivney will help each of us answer the call that he places before us: to live a life of heroic virtue according to the principles of charity, unity and fraternity. Visit kofc.org/mcgivneyprayer for more on this program.
LEAVE NO NEIGHBOR BEHIND
Knights of Columbus order wide stepped into the breach everyday to ensure the safety and support of their communities and parishes by engaging in the five service activities of the Leave no Neighbor Behind program. Visit here for how your council can step into the breach. Be sure to submit the Leave No Neighbor Behind survey after each project to share the good work your council is doing.
CHRISTIAN REFUGEE RELIEF
Christians are among the most persecuted religious groups in the world. According to Open Doors USA, over 340 million Christians are living in places where they experience high levels of persecution and discrimination. In addition, close to 4,500 churches or religious building were attacked, 4,761 Christians were killed for their faith, and 4,277 were detained without trial, arrested, sentenced, and imprisoned. Knights can contribute to the defense of their brothers and sisters abroad through the Christian Refugee Relief program. Meet with your council to discuss how you can raise both awareness and funds for persecuted Christians before the fraternal year ends. For more information, visit kofc.org/refugee.
INTO THE BREACH
Knights change their communities by recognizing the breaches in faith, family, community, and life around them. Through the powerful lessons found in Into the Breach, Knights can better recognize the breaches facing them and how to respond as a child of God. Invite the men of your parish to watch and discuss Into the Breach and see how authentic Catholic masculinity can change your community. For more information on the Into the Breach video series, visit kofc.org/intothebreach.
FAMILY PRAYER NIGHT
The Christian life is meant to be lived in community, but this past year has shown just how fragile our communities can be. As Knights, we are called to help strengthen Christian communities by bringing together families for prayer and fellowship. Family Prayer Night is an opportunity to build up the Domestic Church while growing in friendship with other families striving to live their Catholic faith. Visit here for more info on this program.
