An active, thriving council finds ways to work together in charity, while also uniting brothers in faith and fraternity. Councils not only work towards campus and community goals, but they work to grow stronger in faith. By praying together, a council strengthens the bonds of council members.
Hoping to add to his members’ individual faith life, this council’s lecturer coordinated a council Bible study based on the Story of Salvation. Each week council members gathered for two hours to read and discuss a particular scripture passage. The conversation would follow prepared questions and ultimately led to considering the council’s role in continuing the work of Christ. The Bible study not only allowed members to grow in faith, but by doing this as a council, it helped chart a path for the council going forward.
For their Weekly Bible Study Program, this year’s Council Activity Award is presented to Council 10624 at Texas A&M University.
