Recruiting new members is essential to the continued growth and success of every council in the Order. This is especially true in college councils, as graduating members leave campus annually to seek employment, further their education, and join new parishes. Offering a college man membership in the Knights of Columbus gives him the lifelong opportunity to improve his own life, his faith, and his community. In recognition of excellence in recruiting new members, the Supreme Council presented an award for both highest net gain and highest percentage gain in membership.

The Order’s insurance program is an integral part of Father McGivney’s vision for the Knights of Columbus. With more than 100 billion dollars of insurance in force, the Order’s members and their families are living this vision of our founder as the Knights of Columbus continues to provide for them in their times of need. In recognition of council’s who encourage their members to take advantage of the great resources provided under Father McGivney’s vision, the Supreme Council presented an award for both highest net gain and highest percentage gain of new insurance members.
