To help provide relief to displaced people in Ukraine and refugees who have fled to Poland, the Knights of Columbus has forged key partnerships with various organizations.
The Hermits Peak/Calf Canyon Fire is the largest wildfire in New Mexico state history forcing 25,000 people to evacuate. Since early May, Knights from Council 10517 have helped provide displaced families with basic necessities including food, water and clothing.
A New York Knight used his talent for making crafts out of stained glass to help his council feed families in need.
A Ukrainian delegation consisting of six active-duty military, four mothers of fallen soldiers, two military officials, two military chaplains and the bishop for Ukrainian Military Ordinariate participated in the International Military Pilgrimage in Lourdes, France, May 13-15, thanks to K of C financial support.
More than 175 active-duty personnel and veterans from the United States military participated in the annual Warriors to Lourdes pilgrimage from May 10-16 in Lourdes, France. Sponsored by the Knights of Columbus and the Archdiocese for the Military Services, USA, the pilgrimage offered military personnel the opportunity to visit the Shrine of Our Lady of Lourdes, attend daily Mass, and engage in prayer and fellowship.
