To Our Maryland Policyholders:
The Knights of Columbus recognizes mail delivery delays with the United States Postal Service (USPS) have caused disruption in many areas of our lives, including the delivery of premium notices to policyholders and the receipt of insurance premium payments by the Knights of Columbus.
In order to help prevent the disruption of insurance coverage of our policyholders, and to provide you with ways to minimize the impact that these mail delays can have on the timely receipt of your premium payments, we are providing you with the following information.
Know when your payments are due If you have not received your premium due notice, or are unsure how much you are required to pay, please contact our Customer Service Department at 800-380-9995 or your local insurance agent. Our Customer Service Department and insurance agents can help you determine when payments are due, how much you are required to pay, and where/how payments can be made in a timely manner.
Consider the use of our Electronic Funds Transfer program (EFT) to allow us to make automatic withdrawals from your bank account to pay your premiums By electing to participate in our EFT program you authorize the Knights of Columbus to draft premiums on a monthly basis from your bank account. To find out how you can sign up for our EFT program please contact your agent or our Customer Service Department.
Keep a record of your proof of payment/mailing If you must use the USPS to pay your premium, ensure that you allow significant lead time when mailing your premium payments and consider using priority mail service or by securing a proof of mailing receipt, both of which are available through the USPS.
If you have any questions about your insurance coverage or premiums, please contact your agent or our Customer Service Department at 800-380-9995.
Additionally, there is a consumer advisory notice published on the Maryland Insurance Administration website entitled “Protect Yourself Against Mail Delivery Delays” which can be accessed through the following website: https://insurance.maryland.gov/Pages/newscenter/NewsDetails.aspx?NR=2021294
