Knights of Columbus Fellowships at The Catholic University of America
More than 90 years ago, the Knights of Columbus raised $500,000 from its members to establish an endowment fund at The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C.
At the presentation of the fund in 1914, the university agreed to provide Knights of Columbus Fellowships for graduate study leading to a master's degree or doctoral degree.
The fellowships were designed chiefly to train exceptional students in graduate work in the arts and sciences, with particular reference to preparing CUA graduates to teach at the university level.
Fellowships cover tuition and an allowance for living expenses, and may be renewed annually for three years.
Preference is given to a Knight, or the wife, son, daughter or sister of a Knight.
