Knights of Columbus support moms in need and their children through charitable giving, volunteering, and prayer.
Knights of Columbus respect, defend, and promote the dignity of every human person, at every moment and in every condition. Whether by supporting women and their children through pregnancy center support, marching to defend the unborn and their mothers from abortion, or fundraising for a life-saving ultrasound machine, Knights are building a civilization of life and love.
In 2021, Knights donated $4.6 million and 469,000 volunteer hours to support women and their children through cash donations and community service activities such as baby and maternity item drives.
“A woman that’s going through a crisis pregnancy...she needs so much. She needs our prayers and our sacrifices. She needs accompaniment and friendship. And she also needs science and technology. God uses everything. Knights of Columbus have been at the forefront of this movement for years now.”
- Sister Therese Marie, Sisters of Life
On June 24, the U.S. Supreme Court upheld a Mississippi law banning abortion after 15 weeks of pregnancy, concurrently overturning Roe v. Wade, the landmark ruling that legalized abortion nationwide nearly 50 years ago. The Knights of Columbus is now strengthening its support for pregnancy resources centers and maternity homes through ASAP, a new pro-life initiative announced earlier this month.
