As Chief Data and AI Officer, Rich Elomaa leads the Knights of Columbus' digital innovation agenda, including data and analytics, artificial intelligence (AI) and automation strategy, helping the organization harness technology to support decision-making and promote operational excellence.
Rich previously served as the Deputy Chief Compliance Officer at the Knights of Columbus and was responsible for overseeing the Knights of Columbus’ Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Fraud and Economic Sanctions Programs related to the company’s insurance, fraternal and charity operations. Prior to working at the Knights of Columbus, Rich was the Assistant Vice President of AML and Risk Management at Phoenix Life Insurance Company and previously served as a Special Agent in the National Security Division of the FBI in New York City.
Rich earned a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice with a specialization in Law Enforcement Science from the University of New Haven and a master's degree in Criminal Justice with a specialization in Criminology and Deviance from John Jay College of Criminal Justice, CUNY.
