Rich Elomaa is the Chief Data and Analytics Officer (CDAO) of the Knights of Columbus. He oversees a Data Center of Excellence, which is responsible for managing the Knights' data and data systems and turning that data into actionable insights that help shape and guide business decisions. As the CDAO, he is the head of all enterprise data analytics and data governance initiatives, including defining the organization’s analytics strategy and ensuring that data and information is available, usable, trusted and secure.
Rich previously served as the Deputy Chief Compliance Officer at the Knights of Columbus and was responsible for overseeing the Knights of Columbus’ Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Fraud and Economic Sanctions Programs related to the company’s insurance, fraternal and charity operations. Prior to working at the Knights of Columbus, Rich was the Assistant Vice President of AML and Risk Management at Phoenix Life Insurance Company and previously served as a Special Agent in the National Security Division of the FBI in New York City.
Rich earned a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice with a specialization in Law Enforcement Science from the University of New Haven and a master's degree in Criminal Justice with a specialization in Criminology and Deviance from John Jay College of Criminal Justice, CUNY.
