Into the Breach: Foundation for the Year
Every Faith in Action program is an opportunity to put your faith into action and step into the breach. Stepping into the breach requires Knights to identify the needs around them and respond with action. To that end every council is encouraged to begin this fraternal year with the new Into the Breach video series program. Rediscover who we are called to be as men of faith and the mission we are called to fulfill as Knights.
HELPING HANDS
Every New Year provides us the opportunity to renew our faith and fill our cup with God’s grace. This is a great time to remember those that are less fortunate through our new “Helping Hands” program. This great program allows families the opportunities to not only assist those in need but allows them the opportunity to pray and open their hearts to the message of God. There are many things that can be done, some examples include assist in the cleaning and/or repairing of a local non-profit organization, cook and/or serve food (at no charge) at a local soup kitchen or non-profit. For more information, visit kofc.org/helpinghands.
MARCH FOR LIFE
Starting in January, Marches and Walks for Life take place across the United States. If you can’t make your local March in-person... then go virtual! Online components have been added to the March for Life in Washington, D.C. and some regional pro-life events. Sign-up to receive updates from the March for Life or visit your local event’s website for information on virtual programming. If you are attending in person, be sure to wear your Knights of Columbus gear and bring your iconic “Love Life, Choose Life” sign to the event. Signs are available for free on Officer’s Online. New pro-life merchandise is also available at kofcbanners.com. Visit kofc.org/march for more information.
INTO THE BREACH
Knights change their communities by recognizing the breaches in faith, family, community and life around them. Through the powerful lessons found in Into the Breach, Knights can better recognize the breaches facing them and how to respond as a child of God. Invite the men of your parish to watch and discuss Into the Breach and see how authentic Catholic masculinity can change your community. For more information on the Into the Breach video series, visit kofc.org/intothebreach.
FAMILY FULLY ALIVE
As we begin this new year, families are called to renew their commitment to grow in holiness so that they can be witnesses of the Gospel in the world. The Family Fully Alive Program provides the framework for Knights to lead their families, their own domestic Churches, to live the faith at home so that they can grow in holiness together. Building a strong family prayer life is one of the key factors in passing on the faith to the next generation, and Family Fully Alive will help Knights do that for their families. Plan how you are going to distribute your Family Fully Alive booklets and promote the prayers and activities each month. For more information on the Family Fully Alive program, visit kofc.org/familyfullyalive.
