Building Brighter Futures
A member of Father Michael J. McGivney Council 8002 in Winfield, Ill., installs siding on a wall at the religious education facility at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. The Knights and other men of the parish joined together to improve the space by building bookshelves, demolishing walls, upgrading electrical systems, and more. Their efforts saved the church more than $10,000 in labor and supply costs.
Evangelization and Faith Formation

Inspired by the Holy Family
Joel Rodríguez, a member of Santa Filomena Council 16296 in Monterrey, Mexico Northeast, stands with his wife, Rubí, and their son, Mateo, beside a pilgrim icon of the Holy Family. The icon, blessed by Pope Francis in 2015, was the centerpiece of the Order’s 17th pilgrim prayer program. Council 16296 organized a Mass, celebrated by Father Miguel Angel Gutierrez, council chaplain, to honor the Holy Family. After the liturgy, Knights venerated relics of several saints and blesseds, including Blessed Michael McGivney and St. Rafael Guízar y Valencia, a Mexican bishop and brother Knight who was exiled during the Mexican government’s persecution of the Church in the 1920s.
Venerating Father McGivney

Full Steam Ahead

Honoring the Four Chaplains
Father Walter Ciesla, pastor of St. Stanislaus Kostka Parish in Michigan City, Ind., and Jim Gallas, a fellow member of St. Stanislaus Kostka Council 18574, stand behind a display honoring four U.S. Army chaplains —a Catholic priest, Jewish rabbi and two Protestant ministers — who gave their life jackets to save others aboard the USS Dorchester when it was torpedoed on Feb. 3, 1943. The exhibit, organized by Council 18574, was displayed after all weekend Masses ahead of the anniversary, known as Four Chaplains Day.
Shrove Tuesday Pancakes
Deputy Grand Knight Michael Campbell of St. Agnes Council 16817 in Halifax, Nova Scotia, cooks pancakes for Shrove Tuesday supper at Good Shepherd Parish. More than 170 parishioners attended the meal, hosted by Council 16817 before the start of Lent.
Coffee Fellowship

Unstoppable Faith

Sacred Strokes
Tony Suppa, an artist and member of Father John J. Walsh Council 7052 in Venice, Fla., paints a portrait of the Holy Family being guarded by St. Michael the Archangel. Commissioned by Council 7052, the painting serves as a visual reminder for Knights and their families of the Holy Family’s model of love, sacrifice and unity. It was unveiled at the council’s meeting and blessed by Msgr. Patrick Dubois, rector of Epiphany Cathedral and a brother Knight.
Walking With Christ
Knights from St. John of the Cross Council 13166 and St. Mary Madeline Assembly 2517 in New Caney, Texas, help lead a Eucharistic procession at St. John of the Cross Catholic Church. The event, held annually on the first Saturday of Lent, was organized in collaboration with Father Michael Applegate, pastor and council chaplain. More than 350 parishioners participated.
Prayer Book Ministry
Bill Woster, a member of Father Emil Platte Council 5052 in Dallas, displays prayer books produced through the council’s prayer book ministry. Woster oversees the development of approximately 20 different prayer books tailored for different audiences, including parents, teens, and those experiencing grief. In the past 13 years, Council 5052 has distributed more than 36,000 copies to parishes, schools, and hospitals across the Diocese of Dallas and beyond.
Fish Fry Reels in Charity
Members of Corpus Christi Council 12964 in Ferris, Texas, prepare food for one of the council’s weekly fish fries at Corpus Christi Catholic Church. For over 15 years, the council has hosted the Friday meals to raise funds for the council’s charitable donations to the parish, local seminarians, and other community needs. The reception followed a Mass celebrated by Archbishop-elect Weisenburger , who was formally installed March 18, with priests of the Blue Water vicariate at St. Stephen Church.

Bound for the Holy Land

Retreating to the Sacred Heart

First Responders Blessed
First responders and their families join members of Luke Killoran Council 4510 in Wainwright, Alberta, for the council’s second annual prayer service and solemn blessing for first responders at Blessed Sacrament Parish. The event concluded Wainwright’s celebration of First Responders Week.

Ordination Honor Guard
Fourth Degree Knights from several New Hampshire assemblies provided an honor guard at St. Anne Catholic Church in Berlin for the ordination Mass of Andre Nadeau, a Diocese of Manchester seminarian, to the transitional diaconate. Deacon Nadeau, a member of Bradley Council 1624 in Lancaster, will be ordained a priest in June.

Saintly Intercession
Sancta Familia Council 11498 in Sewell, N.J., hosts a monthly devotional service at the Church of the Holy Family, where participants venerate a first-class relic of St. Pio of Pietrelcina. During a recent service, Knights invited a young father and his 2-year-old son, Julian — who was facing serious blood-related health issues — to the front for the final decade of a rosary. The following day, during a regularly-scheduled medical appointment, nurses noted a significant and unexpected improvement in Julian’s condition. He has since made a full recovery.

7 Decades of Faithful Priesthood
Our Lady of Peace Council 9856 in Leawood, Kan., organized a special Mass and reception to celebrate the 70th anniversary of priestly ordination of Father Anthony Lickteig, the longest-serving priest in the Archdiocese of Kansas City. A Knight for nearly 80 years, Father Lickteig currently serves as faithful friar for Bishop Ward Assembly 292 in Shawnee and previously served as chaplain for two local councils.

Friday Night Fries
Members of Ascension of Our Lord Council 9623 in La Place, La., cooked and served fish fillet meals during Lenten fish fries. Proceeds benefited the council’s scholarship program, named in honor of the late Father Benjamin Piovan, who was the founding pastor of Ascension of Our Lord Parish and former council chaplain.

Celebrating 50 Years
Prince of Peace Assembly 2533 in Sun City Center, Fla., recently honored Father Augustine Mailadiyil, faithful friar, in celebration of the 50th anniversary of his priestly ordination. Ordained in India (the Archdiocese of Imphal), Father Mailadiyil has ministered for more than 25 years in the United States, where he also joined the Knights in 1999. He currently serves as parochial vicar of Prince of Peace Parish.

A Tale of Two Good Knights
Father Goentges Council 1987 in Lapeer, Mich., organized several parish events to celebrate the 25th ordination of Deacon Joe Hulway, a longtime Knight who serves Immaculate Conception Church. The council partnered with St. Nicholas Council 7011 in Sterling Heights, Mich., to raise more than $6,500 for Friends of the Congo, a nonprofit led by Hulway that is helping to construct a women’s health clinic in Yassa, Congo. The funds will help complete the walls and roof of the clinic, allowing the priests who run the clinic to install much-needed diagnostic and medical equipment.

Faith Like A Child
St. Francis of Assisi Council 15240 in San Antonio hosted a presentation on the Stations of the Cross, which was attended by more than 50 families at St. Francis of Assisi Church during Lent. The council collaborated with a local American Heritage Girls troop to produce a coloring book on the 14 Stations for the children. Families were also encouraged to visit the Stations that were purchased and installed at the parish by Knights in September 2024.

Fish Fry Friday Hooks a Bigger Crowd
Marquette Council 588 in Sparta, N.J., served approximately 200 meals during its community Lenten fish fry — a 25% increase from the previous year. Proceeds supported the council’s charitable giving.

Lenten Retreat
Twenty Knights from several New York councils attended a daylong Lenten retreat hosted by the Nassau K of C Chapter at the Tabor Retreat House in Oceanside. Led by Father Bret Stockdale, chaplain of Father Joseph O’Connell Council 3481, the retreat focused on Pope Francis’ call to the faithful to become “pilgrims of hope” during this Jubilee Year.

The Miracle of Father McGivney
Msgr. William S. Bevington Council 9132 in Hendersonville, Tenn., hosted Daniel Schachle and his family at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church to speak about the miracle involving his son Mikey, which was attributed to the intercession of Father Michael J. McGivney and led to McGivney’s beatification in 2020. Attendees also had the opportunity to venerate a first-class relic of Father McGivney.

Singing Through the Passion
Approximately 20 members of Sta. Quiteria Council 8751 and other parish groups in Caloocan City, Luzon North, participated in the traditional Pabása ng Pasyón — the chanting of the Passion narrative — at St. Francis of Assisi and Sta. Quiteria Parish.

Supporting Seminarians
Knights from Bishop Joseph H. Albers Council 4090 in Davison, Mich., gifted the proceeds from their 41st Annual Seminarian Dinner to Diocese of Lansing seminarians. More than $64,000 was raised — the highest amount to date — with each of the diocese’s 29 seminarians receiving about $2,200. Since 1984, the event has raised more than $500,000.

Faithful Holy Hour
About 40 people attended a Sacred Heart Pilgrim Icon prayer service organized by Fathers A. Ochoa and J. Valadez Council 13342 in El Paso, Texas. Deacon Jose Gonzalez, a member of the council, led the prayer service, which took place during the Knights’ monthly holy hour.

‘Be A Man’
Bicentennial Council 6781 in Kansas City, Kan., hosted a men’s retreat titled “Esto Vir — Be a Man” at St. Patrick Catholic Church Parish Center. Father Timothy Koch, parochial vicar and member of Council 6781, led the retreat, which was attended by 30 men; Father Mark Mertes, pastor and council chaplain, translated the talks into Spanish for Spanish-speaking attendees.

Gift That Keeps on Giving
Members of St. Jude Council 4333 in Peoria, Ill., present a $5,000 check to Father Charles Klamut, pastor of St. Anthony Catholic Church and council chaplain, for the parish’s maintenance fund. The council sold its home corporation building in 2017 and invested the proceeds, which continue to support the parish and local charities in the Peoria area, such as Women’s Care Center, Sophia’s Kitchen, multiple veteran organizations and more.

Families Find Safe Haven

Family Promise, which was established 25 years ago as a ministry of several local churches, will use the funds to feed and house families experiencing homelessness at a shelter on the property of Infant Jesus Catholic Church. Families can stay at the shelter for a week at a time until new housing is secured.
Ditching Hunger

Share the Love

Ready for School
St. Elizabeth of Hungary Council 16272 in Malolos City, Luzon North, donated books, bags and other school supplies to about 200 elementary students from several local schools.

Nothing but Net
For 14 years, Onawa (Iowa)-Blencoe Council 6249 has partnered with the local school district, a grocery store, and Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, to bring area children to an NCAA Division I men’s basketball game at the university. This year, the council provided round-trip transportation — about 60 miles each way — for 15 students and three chaperones.

Family Prayer Night
Sts. Peter and Paul Council 11337 in Mississauga, Ontario, hosts a family prayer night nearly every month. At a recent gathering, about 40 participants prayed the rosary together and enjoyed a potluck meal.

Charity Beyond the Pages
For more than a decade, Grand Knight Bob Steinert of Msgr. Arthur M. Tighe Council 1698 in Kansas City, Mo., has made mission trips to La Chacra, an impoverished urban community in El Salvador. Council 1698 has long supported the mission trips and recently purchased more than 100 copies of La Chica de la Chacra, a bilingual children’s book written by Steinert to raise funds for the ministry.

Adopt-a-Family
Between Thanksgiving and Christmas, Father John E. O’Brien Council 3361 in Oak Harbor, Wash., provided over $750 worth of food, grocery gift cards and Christmas gifts to a grandmother raising her two grandchildren alone. The donation was made through the council’s Adopt-A-Family holiday program.

Christmas Celebrations
Ithaca (N.Y.) Council 277 organized several activities related to the Keep Christ in Christmas program this year. The Knights placed a Christmas tree at Immaculate Conception Church where more than 70 parishioners hung cards on which they wrote down ways they hoped to grow closer to Christ. Additionally, the council produced a 25-minute video reflecting on the mysteries of the Christmas story.

San Salvador Assembly 674 in Perth Amboy, N.J., supplemented Thanksgiving food baskets that the American Red Cross provided to families at Naval Weapons Station Earle in Colts Neck, N.J. Learning that the baskets did not include dessert, the Knights purchased 40 pies to include in the baskets — a small but appreciated token of the assembly’s appreciation for the service members at the station.

Medical Mission
Nearly 200 people were served by a medical mission sponsored by Holy Spirit Council 13919 in Malolos City, Luzon North. Services provided included medical and vision exams, free eyeglasses and more.

Support for a Better Life
Father Hugh MacKinnon Council 8192 in Elmira, Ontario, has partnered with Chalice, a child sponsorship charity based in Canada, to sponsor a 10-year-old Kenyan boy named Sabbath. The CA$500 annual contribution supports Sabbath’s health care, nutrition and education.

Record-Breaking Food Drive
For the past decade, Immaculate Heart of Mary Council 13499 in Grand Rapids, Mich., has organized an annual food drive at Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish and School. This year, Knights collected 4,000 pounds of food and other essentials, which they delivered to a food pantry at a nearby parish.

Surf-and-Turf Charity
Antioch (Calif.) Council 3265 hosted its annual Surf-and-Turf Dinner at Most Holy Rosary Parish, serving a feast of crab and tri-tip to more than 160 guests. The event raised over $10,500 for Council 3265’s scholarship program and local charities.

Bringing Brothers Back
Our Lady of Lourdes Council 11809 in Sun City West, Ariz., launched a new member engagement initiative aimed at reaching out to Knights who have become inactive, have special needs, or are homebound or living in assisted living facilities. Active council members seek to understand their brothers’ challenges and then create tailored opportunities to reintegrate them into council life. Of 120 inactive members, more than half have been successfully engaged.

Catholic School Boosters
Since September 2024, Pope John Paul I Council 7565 in Trooper, Pa. has held monthly fundraisers to support Visitation BVM School. As of April 2025, a total of over $15,000 had been raised for the school.

An Eagle Gets His Wings
St. Agnes-Shepherdstown (W.Va.) Council 13887 donated $500 last year toward the Eagle Scout project of David Hippchen, a parishioner at St. Agnes Catholic Church. Hippchen, who joined the council after turning 18 in January, used the funds to refurbishing the Stations of the Cross outdoor trail at the parish.

Not Alone
St. Patrick’s Council 3484 in Canby, Ore. hosted its 8th Annual Widows and Widowers Dinner at St. Patrick’s parish center. Nearly 20 people attended the afternoon of food and dancing.

‘I Was Hungry and You Fed Me’
For nearly 15 years, Pat Pollizzi, a member of Switzerland Council 12664 in St. Johns, Fla., and his wife, Sandra, have helped lead the council’s efforts to raise over $143,000 for local food pantries — funding more than 46,000 pounds of food.

Lenten Food Drive
St. Matthew Council 14360 in Norwalk, Conn., collected over 5,200 pounds of food — more than 500 bags — for St. Matthew Food Pantry during the council’s Lenten food drive.

Blooming Patriotism
Fifteen eighth-graders at Immaculate Conception School in Denton, Texas, entered the Citizenship Essay Contest sponsored by Msgr. Charles King Council 4771. First-place winner Penny Wilson also won the district and diocesan levels before advancing to the state competition.

Where There’s a Family in Need, There Are Knights
Mother Seton Council 15540 in Three Bridges, N.J., donated $500 each to three organizations that support families in need: Quilts for Kids utilizes a network of volunteers to sew patchwork quilts for children facing serious illnesses, trauma, abuse and natural disasters; the Shannon Daley Memorial Fund assists local families who are experiencing financial hardships due to the serious illness of a child; and Family Promise of Hunterdon County supports families and individuals experiencing homelessness.

Stewardship Garden
For over six years, St. Joseph Council 13197 in Freeburg, Ill., has supported a parish stewardship garden at St. Joseph Church. From March through December, Knights join parish volunteers to plant and harvest fresh produce that is distributed among seven local area food banks. Last year, the garden yielded over 10,000 pounds of food. Council 13197 recently used a $500 grant from the Diocese of Belleville’s Catholic Services Ministries Appeal to purchase plants, seeds and supplies for the garden.

Year-Round Service
Members of Frank A. Cutri Jr. Council 1445 in Canandaigua, N.Y., collects and delivers food twice a week to Blessing Room Food Pantry. In 2024, the council helped collect over 86,000 pounds of food to aid individuals and families in need.

Cross-Country Mission
During a donation drive at St. Michael the Archangel Parish, St. Michael the Archangel Council 12577 in Leawood, Kan., collected food, school supplies, and more for a Catholic school in California. Two Knights from Council 12577 made the roughly 1,600-mile drive from Leawood to personally deliver the donations.

Service Like Clockwork
Sts. Cosmas and Damian Council 13341 in Bradenton, Fla., recently donated $2,000 to St. Joseph’s Food Pantry. Knights also support the pantry through weekly volunteer service. Since 2016, the council has contributed over $20,000 and more than 85,000 pounds of food to the pantry.

Helping Those Who Help Others
Our Lady of Fatima Council 9636 in Las Pinas City, Luzon South, donated a wheelchair to Rebecca Aguirre, a volunteer sacristan at Christ the King Parish, who was severely injured after falling backwards from the sanctuary while preparing for Mass. After learning of the incident, Grand Knight Jun Belgado and other council members coordinated the donation of the wheelchair.

Our Lady of Batavia (N.Y.) Council 11728 donated 50 hams for holiday dinners to Agri-Business Child Development, which provides childcare and other essential services to many farm-working families employed locally.

Helping Grandparents and Grandchildren
Five councils and two ladies’ auxiliaries in Virginia donated more than 180 new coats and 120 hat-and-glove sets to Catholic Charities of Eastern Virginia. Most items were distributed at a Christmas party for Catholic Charities’ Grandparents as Parents program, which provides support and resources to those raising grandchildren or other family members. Local councils have supported the Christmas party with an annual distribution, through the Knights of Columbus Coats for Kids program, since 2018.

Vets, Centenarian Knight Honored
Saratoga Council 246 in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., hosted a veterans appreciation dinner attended by 180 people, including 40 veterans. Special recognition was given to 100-year-old Manuel Ballestero, a World War II veteran and a Knight since 1957.

Strikes and Spares Keep Kids Snug
St. Therese Council 8025 in Rapid City, S.D., held its 12th Annual Coats for Kids Bowling Tournament. The event raised nearly $11,000 for the purchase of about 450 winter jackets for next year’s Coats for Kids distributions.

$1 Million in Donations Surpassed
More than 50 community organizations and charities received donations totaling over $95,000 during the annual charity event organized by Msgr. Morris L. Dwyer Council 255 in Plattsburgh, N.Y. The council’s donations over the past 18 years, made possible through various fundraisers, have now surpassed $1 million.

Alabama Abrigos
Our Lady of the Valley Council 9676 in Birmingham, Ala., organized a monthlong coat drive beginning in December 2024 at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church that collected more than 215 coats for children and adults. The clothing was donated to Oak Mountain Missions Ministries and Catholic Charities of Birmingham for distribution in early January, shortly before an Arctic blast hit the region.

Community Conversations
St. Patrick White Lake (Mich.) Council 13319 hosted a community discussion on mental health, suicide prevention and the stigma often associated with both at St. Patrick Parish’s community center. More than 70 people attended the event, which included presentations from behavioral healthcare professionals and a personal testimony from a suicide attempt survivor.

Sweet Dreams
Members of St. Isaac Jogues Assembly 649 in Fairfield, N.J., and students from Bloomfield collected more than 400 pairs of men’s and women’s pajamas for patients at the East Orange and Lyons VA medical centers. This is the third year the assembly has organized the project, collecting donations valued at over $10,000.

Rolling Hope to Ukraine
Victoria Council 1256 and St. Joseph the Worker Council 13356 in Victoria, British Columbia, raised over CA$35,000 to purchase more than 180 wheelchairs through the Canadian Wheelchair Foundation. The wheelchairs were sent to Ukraine for distribution to people in need.

Battling the Cold, One Coat at a Time
St. Paul of Tarsus Council 11689 in Clinton Township, Mich., collected nearly 2,000 coats along with gloves and mittens during a winter clothing drive. The items were donated to the Solanus Casey Center in Detroit for distribution to people in need.

Assumpta Council 3987 in Kingston, Pa., and Our Lady of Czestochowa Assembly 1928 in Luzerne organized a pizza dinner for residents of St. Hedwig’s Veterans Village in Kingston.

A Float for Every Occasion
Knights from Father Nicholas Point Council 4375 in Tecumseh, Ontario, and Rt. Rev. Wilfrid J. Langlois Assembly 1789 in Windsor helped transform a trailer into a large parade float for use by councils across Essex County in parades and festivals throughout the year.

The Washington State Council has partnered with Sacred Heart Radio to produce Knights in Action, a radio show airing three times a week. State Deputy Greg Mahoney and public relations chair Tim Dunn highlight the charitable work by local councils across the state.

Ongoing Help for Ongoing Needs
For more than six months following Hurricane Helene, Holy Trinity Council 12838 in Jefferson City, Tenn., has assisted with local recovery efforts in eastern Tennessee and western North Carolina. The day after the hurricane passed through Jefferson County, Knights began providing meals to first responders and collecting food and water to distribute to rural mountainous areas. They also helped with security and with infrastructure needs. Many of these efforts are ongoing.

Well Wishes from Walpole
More than 80 people attended a pot roast fundraising dinner hosted by Walpole (Mass.) Council 1319. The event raised $3,000 to support victims of the Los Angeles-area wildfires.

Feed the Hungry
Holy Angels Council 10948 in Colma, Calif., partnered with the Missionaries of Charity in San Francisco to serve a pizza dinner to about 100 people experiencing homelessness at the sisters’ Bernal Heights facility. The council regularly supports the sisters’ ministry throughout the Bay Area.

Charity Gala
Christopher Columbus Council 10681 in Richmond, British Columbia, raised more than CA$12,000 at its annual charity gala to support parish and community needs.

Chili Cook-Off
For more than a decade, St. Mary of the Hills Council 13950 in Rochester Hills, Mich., has hosted an annual chili cook-off, raising funds for seminarians in the Archdiocese of Detroit. This year’s event, held in honor of the late Past Grand Knight Bill Sabanos, raised over $800.

Patchin’ Up the Community
Father Val Von Meysenbug Council 9507 in Powhatan, Va., with the local Catholic Women’s Organization, raised $12,000 through its six-week annual pumpkin patch fundraiser. Proceeds were donated to 11 charities that serve children and families in need.

Running to the Rescue
Montebello (Calif.) Council 3429 donated $500 to support Financial Secretary John Pang’s participation in the 2025 Los Angeles Half Marathon. Pang’s team — sponsored by United Way — raised $26,000 for wildfire relief in Altadena and Pacific Palisades. Pang was one of the team’s top fundraisers and finished first in his age group.

Honduras Mission Trip
Father Al Hietpas Council 6764 in Suamico, Wis., donated $1,000 to support council member Dan Lefebvre’s mission trip to Honduras. While there, Lefebvre helped build a church for the community of Villa de San Antonio.

Beacon of Warmth
Our Lady of the Woods Shrine Council 7329 in Mio, Mich., donated $1,000 to Mio Baptist Church, which served as a shelter after a late-March ice storm. The church provided meals, hygiene items, hot showers and overnight accommodations, as many residents were without power for several days. The council also gave $1,300 to repair the water well of a Knight’s widow after it was damaged by a snowplow.

Beefing Up the Mission
Father William J. Dunn Council 6934 in Warrenville, Conn., hosted a corned beef dinner at St. Philip the Apostle Church that raised over $1,200 for the council’s donations to the parish and other charities.

Charity Makes Change
Mary, Queen of the Knights Council 816 in Neptune, N.J., and St. Anselm Parish organized a forum on Catholic social teaching. About 50 parishioners discussed the relationship between social justice and charitable works as well as strategies for promoting positive social change.

Rocking for Relief
Father Daley Council 4191 in Ephrata, Pa., held a fundraiser at Our Mother of Perpetual Help Parish to support hurricane-affected families in North Carolina. The event featured a live performance by Tuesday Rains, a local band led by Past Grand Knight Brian Heisler, and raised more than $6,000.

Trash to Treasure
For nearly a decade, St. Bernard Council 13455 in Worcester, Mass., has operated a recycling redemption program led by council member Joseph Trent. The initiative has collected more than 323,000 bottles and cans, generating over $16,000 in charitable funds.

9 Councils, 300 Wheelchairs, 1 Mission
Nine councils in Hawaii — including six that organized weekend drives at their parishes — raised more than $30,000 to purchase 300 wheelchairs and 300 walking canes through the Global Wheelchair Mission. Seven Knights then traveled to the Philippines to distribute the items across different locations.

Furnishing a Fresh Start
Members from St. Helen of the Cross Council 15999 in Beamsville, Ontario, refurbished and donated three large kitchen appliances, a bookshelf and a table to Chez Marie Refugee Assistance Centre, which offers temporary lodging to individuals and families. The council’s contribution inspired Beamsville’s Community Pharmacy to donate CA$150 worth of personal toiletries to the center.

Many Ways to Support Life
Knights from Sta. Quiteria Council 8751 in Caloocan City, Luzon North, and staff from the National Kidney and Transplant Institute assemble during a recent blood drive organized by the council. Thirteen donors gave blood during the drive, which Council 8751 regularly organizes in collaboration with the institute. Council members also participated in a regional march for life organized by Knights in Quezon City.

Knights from St. Charles Borromeo Council 13513 in Jacksonville, Ala., and Joseph J. Burn Sr. Council 3227 in Anniston gather with parishioners from five local Catholic churches before the councils’ annual march for life. The group made a milelong procession from St. Charles Borromeo Church to Jacksonville’s town square. Knights have supported the walk for more than 20 years, but this was the first year they were its principal organizers.
Diapers and Dollars
Past Grand Knight Patrick Monahan of Father James P. Conroy Council 4403 in Bettendorf, Iowa, presents a $400 grant from the Supreme Council to staff from the local Women’s Choice Center. The grant, made through the ASAP (Aid and Support After Pregnancy) program, followed Council 4403’s own donation of more than 12,000 diapers and cash worth a total of $4,600. The items were collected from the council’s annual diaper drive, which the council has organized since 2016.
Life Advocates Brave the Cold

Since 1999, Council 12281 has raised over $317,000 in support of people with disabilities.

Summer Games

Firsthand Witness

More than 50 pregnant women received a free ultrasound during a program organized by St. Elizabeth of Hungary Council 16272 in Malolos City, Luzon North. Knights helped medical staff conduct the ultrasounds and provided expectant mothers with free snacks and refreshments as they waited.

Blood Saves Lives
Maramag (Mindanao) Council 5862 organized a blood drive that generated about 23 pints of blood. Council 5862 has collaborated with local health care workers for five years to organized blood drives.

Safe Haven Baby Box
Father Jerry W. Glahn Council 11132 in Manitou, Ky., raised $5,000 to help fund the installation of a Safe Haven Baby Box at the Madisonville Fire Department, combining. Father Steve Hohman, pastor of Christ the King Catholic Church in Madisonville and a brother Knight, blessed the box — the 46th to be installed in the state — during a dedication ceremony.

Festive Shopping Spree
St. Joseph Council 15121 in Poplarville, Miss., gave $100 to each of six residents of St. Francis Ministries in Picayune, which serves people with disabilities, to spend at a local store. The council also treated the residents to a pizza lunch.

Banner Year for Annual Fund Drive
Arden-Carmichael (Calif.) Council 4970 raised nearly $36,000 during its annual fund drive for people with disabilities — the largest amount the council has ever raised through this fundraiser, beating last year’s record of $33,000. The money was donated to Camp ReCreation in Orangevale, which offers year-round activities for people with disabilities, as well as a residential summer camp.

Green Bay Generates Baby Box
Duck Creek Council 6279 in Green Bay, Wis., raised $22,500 for a Safe Haven Baby Box in Howard, a nearby village. Father Al Hietpas Council 6764 in Suamico, St. Louis Council 17149 in Dyckesville and a women’s auxiliary added $3,000 to help purchase the box, which Bishop David Ricken of Green Bay blessed at its dedication.

Booming Bottle Drive
Caldwell (N.J.) Council 2561 generated more than $12,000 during a baby bottle drive at St. Aloysius Parish. The funds were given to Several Sources Shelters, a local pregnancy resource center. Since the donation was made through the ASAP program, the Supreme Council donated an additional $400 to the center.

Bastion of Blood Drives
More than 60 pints of blood were collected during the Jan. 20 blood drive organized by Father Richard C. Joyce Council 2270 in Montgomery, N.Y. The drive was the 100th to be organized by Council 2270 since 2002, with more than 5,000 donors contributing blood in that span.

Life-Giving Blood Donations
Pigcawayan (Mindanao) Council 6974 and San Pedro Calungsod de Pigcawayan Assembly 3597 co-sponsored a blood drive held at San Blas Parish with the Cotabato Regional Medical Center. The Knights help organize blood drives twice a year.

From Our Crib to Theirs
St. Francis Xavier Council 17105 in McKean, Pa., collected more than 200 donations of diapers, wipes, clothes and other baby supplies worth more than $1,700 during its annual Crib Collection. The items were donated to the Women’s Care Center of Erie County, which will receive an additional donation of $300 from the Supreme Council since the items were donated through the ASAP program.

Serving Beyond Duty
St. Michael the Archangel Council 15969 at Yokota Air Base in Japan donated $500 to the Kanto Plains Special Olympic Committee in preparation for the 46th Annual Kanto Plains Special Olympics, to be held in November 2025. Council 15969 provides either financial support or volunteers each year to serve meals to athletes and spectators.

Pillars of Family Support
Fremont Council 2553 in Canon City, Colo., donated $1,500 — proceeds from its annual fund drive for people with disabilities — to Starpoint Foundation, which provides essential services to people with disabilities and their families. Council 2553’s drive has supported Starpoint for five years.

Knights for Life
Msgr. Edward Mickle Council 14263 in Cape Charles, Va., raised nearly $27,000, including nearly $13,500 from the Supreme Council through the Ultrasound Initiative, to help fund the purchase of a new ultrasound machine for Accomack Northampton Pregnancy Center in Onley.

Showering Love
Our Lady, Seat of Wisdom Council 11259 in Prince Frederick, Md., hosted a baby shower at St. John Vianney Church for Birthright of Prince Frederick, generating donations valued at over $3,800. The Supreme Council contributed an additional $400 through the ASAP program.

Seeing the Unseen
In less than two months, several Rhode Island councils raised half the needed funds — about $16,000 — to purchase a new ultrasound machine for Rhode Island Right to Life. The Supreme Council matched the donation through the Ultrasound Initiative to fund the machine, which will be installed at a pregnancy resource center operated by Rhode Island Right to Life.

Special Needs Golf Tournament
Msgr. Richard C. Madden Council 6629 and Father David J. Schiller Council 11910 in Summerville, S.C., hosted their third annual golf tournament to support people with disabilities. Ninety golfers participated, raising nearly $11,000 for community organizations in Summerville and Dorchester counties.

Silver Rose Service
St. Patrick Council 10547 in Lethbridge, Alberta, hosted a pro-life prayer service, featuring a Knights of Columbus Silver Rose, that was attended by Knights from several local councils. Fourth Degree Knights provided an honor guard for the service, which was led by Deacon Bruce Barnett, chaplain of St. Martha Council 9280.

Fry-day Night for Life
More than 100 people attended a fish fry dinner organized by Father John E. O’Brien Council 3361 and its associated women’s group at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Oak Harbor, Wash. The event raised nearly $500 for the Washington State Council’s pro-life activities fund.

Orphan Drive Delivers Hope
George W. Hudson Council 3701 in Woodside, N.Y., donated $7,500 — proceeds from the council’s annual fundraising drive — to Mercy Home, an organization that provides essential services for children and adults with developmental disabilities. Council 3701 has supported Mercy Home, including its Brooklyn residence named in honor of Blessed Michael McGivney, for more than 50 years.

All-Inclusive Fun
St. Teresa of Calcutta Council 12036 in Charles Town, W.Va., recently donated $1,000 to Special Olympics West Virginia. Half of the donation supported the state’s Winter Classic competition, including alpine skiing, snowboarding and other events. In addition to the council’s financial support, Knights have volunteered at the event for the past 10 years. Council 12036 also donated $300 to the summer camp program at St. James the Greater Catholic Church; the donation helped fund a stipend to hire an extra camp counselor who will accompany a young girl with disabilities throughout the weeklong camp.

Pro-Life Prayers
More than 30 people attended a pro-life prayer service — featuring a Knights of Columbus Silver Rose —organized by Father Scollen Council 8258 in Cochrane, Alberta, at Christ the King Chapel in St. Mary’s Church. The Knights hosted a reception for attendees afterwards.

Four Donations, One Pro-Life Mission
Holy Mary, Our Hope, Seat of Wisdom Council 12711 in Lindale, Texas, donated $500 each to four pro-life groups. The donations came from the council’s annual Sanctity of Life fundraiser.
