Knights from Michael O’Connor Council 5026 and Father Albert A. Vocational Investment
Members of Prince of Peace Council 11537 in Hoover, Ala., gather with four Diocese of Birmingham seminarians at Prince of Peace Church to present each with $2,500 to support his seminary formation. Fourteen additional seminarians received the same amount by mail. Over the last five years, Council 11537 has raised nearly $175,000 for Birmingham seminarians through the Refund Support Vocations Program (RSVP).
Behold the Body and Blood
Knights from St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Council 10678 in Crystal Lake, Ill., assemble with other volunteers after a work day at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. The council organized the work day at the request of Father John Kladar, pastor and council member, to remove nearly 70 old pews to make space for new ones. The volunteers’ efforts saved the parish as much as $1,800.

Road to the Rosary
Knights from Father Pierre De Smet Council 9756 in Pinedale, Wyo., carry their council banner, a U.S. flag and a crucifix as they lead 150 parishioners of Our Lady of Peace Church in a 2.5-mile pilgrimage to the site where Jesuit missionary Father Pierre De Smet celebrated the first Mass in Wyoming in 1840. The pilgrims prayed a rosary at the original stone altar, which is now enclosed by a small chapel.
Sacred Walk

Assembly 328 provided honor guards for two other processions in the area: one on Thursday, June 19, at the Minor Basilica of the Immaculate Conception in Natchitoches and another on Corpus Christi Sunday, June 22, at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral in Alexandria.
Altar Server Appreciation
Knights from Msgr. Bishop Council 2112 in Orlando, Fla., host an appreciation luncheon for altar servers from four local parishes, welcoming servers and their families. More than 100 people attended the banquet, which the council has organized for the past several years.
Walk by Faith

Duty to God

Journey of the Hearts
For the past 20 years, members of St. Joseph Council 12788 in Mechanicsburg, Pa., have provided hospitality — consisting of breakfast, homemade soup, or coffee and doughnuts depending on the weekend — after each Sunday Mass at St. Joseph Catholic Church. The Knights have become post-Mass fixtures at St. Joseph, providing refreshments free of charge to approximately 300 people each weekend.
Bringing Christ into the Home

A Chapel Renewed

The Knights’ work included power washing the exterior siding, cleaning the chapel, and applying two coats of paint. The funds came from Council 2171’s annual sausage dinner, held for over 60 years.
Cycling Powers Vocations
Knights from Iowa Great Lakes Council 5043 in Spirit Lake, Iowa, gather at their food booth during the second day of the annual seven-day bicycle ride across Iowa sponsored by the Des Moines Register. Council 5043 partnered with Dickinson County Cattlemen to grill meals and sold more than 750 burgers, raising approximately $2,200. The funds were given to Zach Steffens, a seminarian for the Diocese of Sioux City, to support his pilgrimage to Italy next year. Steffens is a member of Council 5043 and grew up as a parishioner of St. Mary Catholic Church, which the council serves.

First Responders Prayed for

Anniversary Celebrations
Father David Choquette, pastor and council chaplain for Cargill Council 64 in Putnam, Conn., blesses the new exterior sign for St. Thérèse of Lisieux Parish at St. Mary Church, as the previous one had blown away during a winter storm three years ago. The sign was commissioned and funded by the council and its associated women’s group. The sign blessing followed a Mass, which was part of the council’s 133rd anniversary celebration. The event also included a memorial prayer service at the grave of the council’s charter grand knight, Edward Mullan, at St. Mary Cemetery.
Font of Every Blessing
Perham (Minn.) Council 1773 donated $300 — proceeds from a pancake breakfast — to cover half the cost of materials to build a second baptismal font at St. Henry Church. Council member Mark Halbakken built the font, which was placed in the parish’s chapel to allow for more flexibility for scheduling baptisms around Mass times.
The Heart that Saves
Members of Maramag (Mindanao) Council 5862 and South Eastern Bukidnon Assembly 3305 served as an honor guard for a Mass celebrating the Sacred Heart of Jesus at San Andres Parish. More than 150 students and parishioners attended the Mass, which was celebrated by council chaplain Father Filemon Ares; the Order’s pilgrim icon of the Sacred Heart was displayed during the liturgy.
A Brother Ordained
Knights from Holy Spirit Council 10502 in Palmyra, Pa., provided an honor guard for the first Mass celebrated by Father Cole Mase at the Church of the Holy Spirit. Around 30 Knights attended the Mass to celebrate Father Mase, who was ordained a priest for the Diocese of Harrisburg on June 7.
Repurposing Pews
Thirty members of Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen Council 7502 in Northglenn, Colo., removed and repurposed more than 320 pews and kneelers from Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, giving them to parishioners for use in their homes or personal projects. The 60-year-old pews were being replaced, and Council 7502’s efforts saved the parish $10,000 in disposal costs.
First Friday Devotion
St. Patrick Council 11745 in Anchorage, Alaska, worked with Father Leo Walsh, pastor of St. Patrick Parish and council chaplain, to revive the First Friday Devotion at the parish. Father Walsh was inspired to bring back the devotion — which includes attending Mass and receiving Communion on the first Fridays of nine consecutive months — after reading Pope Francis’ encyclical Dilexit Nos (He Loved Us). After each month’s Mass, attendees pray the Litany of the Sacred Heart, followed by a potluck organized by the council.
New Priest Receives Sacred Vessels
Our Lady of the Americas Assembly 3123 in Bothell, Wash., gifted a traveling Mass kit to Father Joseph Tapia-Beeman, a newly ordained priest for the Archdiocese of Seattle and a brother Knight. Assembly 3123 has provided more than 10 Mass kits — including a chalice, paten, host box, crucifix, stole and more — to new priests over the past several years.
Texans Turn to Prayer
Ascension Bastrop (Texas) Council 14943 hosted a rosary at Ascension Catholic Church for people affected by the Texas floods, including victims, their families and first responders. Around 120 people gathered to pray.
Sacred Heart Celebration
Winona (Minn.) Council 639 hosted a Sacred Heart Holy Hour with the Order’s icon of the Sacred Heart at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart in Winona on June 26, in anticipation of the feast of the Sacred Heart the next day. Father Mark McNea, former council chaplain, led the Holy Hour, which was attended by about 20 Knights and parishioners.
33-Day Procession
Several councils and assemblies in New Hampshire supported a 33-day Eucharistic pilgrimage throughout the Diocese of Manchester, providing honor guards and other assistance throughout the route. The procession began May 18 at St. Joseph Cathedral and traveled to each of the diocese’s 89 parishes and 26 Catholic schools before returning to the cathedral for a concluding Mass on June 22, the feast of Corpus Christi.
Honoring Our Founder
Members of Adelphi Council 4181 and Bishop O’Reilly Assembly 399 in Shrewsbury, Mass., traveled with parishioners from St. Anne Parish and St. Mary Parish to New Haven, Conn., to visit sites connected to the life of Father Michael McGivney, including Mass at St. Mary’s Church and a tour of the Blessed Michael McGivney Pilgrimage Center.
Knights of the Altar
For the past three decades, Knights from St. Martin de Porres Council 7551 in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., have assisted as altar servers for funeral Masses at St. Martin de Porres Parish. Currently, more than 20 Knights volunteer for the liturgies.
Citywide Procession
Knights from several councils and an assembly in the Rapid City, S.D., area participated in the third annual Eucharistic procession at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Perpetual Help for the feast of Corpus Christi, June 22. Some 500 people walked 1.7 miles from the cathedral to the city’s Memorial Park, where they assembled for prayer and Benediction. Afterward, Knights served lunch to all participants and took care of cleanup.
Guardians of the Graves
Members of St. Patrick’s Council 8178 in Monona, Iowa, cleaned up debris from a fallen tree at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery after high winds knocked the tree onto surrounding headstones. After Grand Knight Lester Lang made a call for help, 15 members responded and spent several hours removing the tree and fixing the headstones.
A Crucifix Restored
Grand Mesa Council 2731 in Delta, Colo., hosted a breakfast at St. Michael Church to raise money for a new corpus for the church’s crucifix; the current corpus had cracks throughout it and required replacement. Around 110 parishioners attended, and the breakfast raised $2,000 of the $6,000 needed for the project.
At the Heart of Christ
Corpus Christi Council 13468 in Aldie, Va., organized a Mass for the feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus at Corpus Christi Catholic Church. The Order’s pilgrim icon of the Sacred Heart was displayed as Father Michael Taylor, pastor and council chaplain, celebrated Mass for more than 200 people.
¡Viva Cristo Rey!
The Arizona State Council sent out six icons depicting the Mexican Martyrs to be displayed at churches throughout the state as an outreach to invite Hispanic men to become Knights. Father David Halm, state chaplain, blessed the icons at the state’s organizational meeting before their distribution. Father Halm also led Knights, their wives and parishioners in a Sacred Heart Holy Hour at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church prior to the meeting; during the Holy Hour, attendees could also venerate a first-class relic of Blessed Michael McGivney.
Rerouted by Rain, United in Faith
Knights from Father John S. Nelligan Council 5730 in Scotch Plains, N.J., participated in a Mass and Eucharistic procession to celebrate the feast of Corpus Christi at St. Bartholomew Church. Due to inclement weather, the procession took place inside the church, yet more than 250 people still participated.
125 Years and Counting
Holy Rosary Council 2303 in Moxee, Wash., organized a Eucharistic procession and parish picnic on the feast of Corpus Christi, June 22, at Holy Rosary Parish as part of the parish’s 125th anniversary celebration. During the event, Father Jaime Chacon, pastor and council chaplain, dedicated and blessed the parish’s new Father John J. Murtagh Plaza and its new statue of the Sacred Heart of Jesus; Council 2303 donated $1,500 toward the plaza project, and Knights contributed time and effort to help construct it. Father Murtagh, a longtime Knight and council chaplain for more than 15 years, was pastor of Holy Rosary from 2004 until his death in 2022.
Stairs for Safety
Knights from Our Lady of Mercy Council 10504 in Winston-Salem, N.C., designed, funded and built a staircase connecting the lower and upper parking lots at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church. They also installed a plaque beside the staircase dedicating the project to all deceased members of the council. Council 10504 covered the entire $3,100 cost of the project.
Reelin’ in Youth Support
Father John McMaster Council 6495 in West Lorne, Ontario, organized a fish fry at St. Mary Church that raised CA$1,400 for the church’s youth group. The funds will support youth group meetings, trips and events.
Home of the Brave(S)
Archbishop John F. Donoghue Assembly 3313 in Atlanta sold tickets to an Atlanta Braves game to parishioners from the Cathedral of Christ the King as a fundraiser for the Blessed Michael McGivney Military Chaplain Scholarship Fund. The fundraiser generated more than $2,200, and Past Faithful Navigator Bryan Lewis sang the national anthem during pregame ceremonies.
Friar and his Fiddle
Father Alpha LaHaie Council 7255 in Lexington, Mich., hosted Franciscan Brother Al Mascia for his one-friar musical performance titled More Love Than Skill: A Saint and His Fiddle at the Greenbush Event Center.
About 100 people attended the performance, a biographical depiction of Blessed Solanus Casey. Afterward, guests submitted special intentions to be prayed for by friars at the National Shrine of St. Anthony and Friary in Cincinnati.
Bbq Blessings
Msgr. Dan F. Curtin Assembly 709 in Glens Falls, N.Y., hosted its 25th annual clergy appreciation barbecue at St. Michael the Archangel Church in South Glens Falls. Father Robert A. Nugent Council 11160 provided food and helped organize the event, which was attended by nearly 40 clergy members from the Diocese of Albany.
Journey of the Sacred Heart
Knights from Our Lady of Peace Council 17081 in Lubang, Visayas, and parishioners of Our Lady of Peace Quasi Parish walked nearly 10 miles to transport the Order’s icon of the Sacred Heart of Jesus from their parish to Sto. Niño Chapel. The stop was part of the icon’s tour to 50 councils within the Diocese of Talibon.
Dancing for Vocations
St. John Council 11281 in Naples, Fla., organized its 16th annual Vocations Dinner Dance at St. John the Evangelist Parish’s ballroom. Around 225 people attended, raising $13,000 to support 11 seminarians and a parishioner in formation for the permanent diaconate for the Diocese of Venice.
Feast Day Devotion
Father John LaFarge, S.J. Council 4012 in Yorktown Heights, N.Y., organized its annual Holy Hour at St. Patrick Church on the feast of Blessed Michael McGivney, Aug. 13. Msgr. Joseph Giandurco, pastor and council chaplain, and Deacon Richard Scheibe, a brother Knight, led 20 people in prayer, which included Eucharistic adoration, praying the rosary, and reading spiritual reflections from St. John Paul II and Pope Benedict XVI.
Knights Thank the Sisters
Newburgh (Ind.) Council 8746 launched a new initiative to honor religious sisters during the 2025-26 fraternal year. Each month, a Knight will share a story about a sister who had a positive impact on his life. The council will then send $20 to that sister’s community as a sign of appreciation.
To Jesus, Through Mary
Father John S. Nelligan Council 5730 in Scotch Plains, N.J., organized an outdoor rosary after Mass at Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish on Aug. 15 to celebrate the feast of the Assumption. About 40 people attended. Afterward, Knights served food at a reception in the parish cafeteria.
Revitalizing Church Grounds
Blessed Grimwald Santamaria Council 17384 in Rochester, N.Y., helped renovate and landscape the grounds of Holy Cross Church. The project included grading, installing a new retaining wall and sidewalk, and other improvements. The $30,000 project was partially funded by the council, which contributed $2,100, as well as by labor volunteered by individual Knights over four weeks.
Franks with Fathers
Msgr. James H. Willett Council 7847 in Hopkinsville, Ky., hosted its annual “Franks with Fathers” cookout — a time for parishioners of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church to socialize with the parish priests — on the feast of Blessed Michael McGivney, Aug. 13. Council 7847 has organized the event for more than 15 years, with over 50 people attending this year.
Tune in to Faith
Msgr. Anton Link Council 1861 in Sidney, Neb., donated $1,000 to Catholic radio station KJTJ-FM — about 40% of its annual operating budget. Council 1861 has also supported the station’s other financial needs, including helping to replace equipment.

Breakfast Tacos for All
Members of Ascension Bastrop (Texas) Council 14943 and volunteers prepare some 300 breakfast tacos at Ascension Catholic Church for people in need. Twice a month, council members help prepare and deliver food to Primera Baptist Church, which works with Central Texas Food Bank in Austin to distribute the meals to local families.

Knights from Richmond (Texas) Council 7445 solicit donations for students in need after Mass at Sacred Heart Church. More than $3,200 was collected for Common Threads, a program operated by the Lamar Consolidated Independent School District that provides students with clothing and school supplies.
Lawn Duty
Lope Suyom of St. Peter the Apostle Council 14648 in Telegrafo, Visayas, cuts grass at Canmogsay Elementary School as part of the country’s annual Brigada Eskwela campaign — a national effort to prepare schools before the new school year. Fifteen Knights landscaped the school grounds over three hours. Council 14648 has offered to provide similar services to other area schools.

Orientation Day

Tools for Success
Ray Medhus (center) of Blessed Sacrament Council 10050 in Scottsdale, Ariz., and staff from OCJ Kids — a Phoenix-based organization supporting foster children in group homes — display supplies collected during the council’s back-to-school drive. This is the fourth year Council 10050 has supported OCJ Kids’ Tools4Success campaign, helping collect more than 3,300 items worth over $12,000.
Family Hike
St. Helen of the Cross Council 15999 in Beamsville, Ontario, organized a family hike for parishioners of St. Helen Church at Kinsmen Park. More than 60 people hiked along a four-mile route before concluding with a barbecue prepared by the Knights. Donations collected at the event totaled more than $650 and were used to install a chair lift at the church.
A Brotherly Visit
Knights from Trinity Council 5825 in Monaca, Pa., made a social visit to James George, a longtime Knight who recently turned 90, and helped with various repairs around his home. Since 2018, members of Council 5825 have regularly visited older and homebound members, often bringing a cake and offering to assist them in any way.
Feeding the Nations
Members of Holy Redeemer Council 12899 in Vancouver, Wash., prepared more than 100,000 meals of soybeans, vegetables and rice during a meal-packing event organized with Cross Catholic Outreach at Holy Redeemer Parish. The meals were sent to people in need in Guatemala, Haiti and the Dominican Republic.
College Bound
All Saints Council 14475 in Lake Wylie, S.C., awarded five scholarships totaling $6,000 to All Saints Church parishioners planning to or attending college. The council has awarded scholarships since 2016, with all funds coming from its annual charity golf outing.
Open House
St. Rita’s Council 9648 in Tulare, Calif., helped organize the annual Fourth of July open house at St. Rita Catholic Church. About 300 parishioners and friends enjoyed free hamburgers and hot dogs and a fireworks show. The council has supported the event for more than 20 years, this year raising $1,000 for seminarian support and scholarship funds.
Pantry Partners
Our Lady of the Mountains Council 7575 in North Conway, N.H., donated $1,000 to the Vaughan Food Pantry. The council also donated $500 in materials to help build an accessibility ramp at the Madison Food Pantry. Council 7575 has supported both food pantries for more than five years.
Award Night
Mother Seton Council 5427 in the Township of Washington, N.J., awarded three $1,000 scholarships from its James Picarella Memorial Trust Fund to graduating high school seniors. James Picarella, a member of the council and the son of Past Grand Knight John Picarella, died of cancer at age 27; the trust was established with funds raised by Council 5427 to support his treatment. The council also recognized two winners from its annual free-throw championship who placed third in their respective age groups at the state competition, as well as five winners from its essay contest.
Sending A Brother Home
When Tagbo Francis Theophilus Emejulu, a member of Immaculate Conception Council 6245 in Annandale, N.J., passed away, Council 6245 raised $5,000 from council funds and individual donations to help his wife, Onyinye, send his body to Nigeria so he could be buried in the family cemetery.
Serving Up Support
St. Edward the Confessor Council 4253 in Duncan, British Columbia, served some 70 people during its monthly pancake breakfast at St. Edward Parish in June. During the breakfast, Council 4253 presented $1,000 donations to eight Cowichan Valley community groups. The council’s monthly breakfasts have occurred for 50 years.
College Bound
Msgr. Henry C. Schuyler Council 1333 in West Chester, Pa., awarded scholarships worth $4,000 each to two parishioners of St. Agnes Parish. This marked the ninth year of Council 1333’s scholarship program, which is funded by the council’s activities throughout the year.
Benches of Remembrance
Knights from Cardinal Gibbons Assembly 150 in Hockessin, Del., built and installed six memorial benches, with plaques engraved with the names of deceased council members, at Our Lady, Queen of Peace Shrine at Holy Spirit Parish. The $8,000 project was funded through individual member donations and gifts to the memorial fund.
Cans for Lent
Richmond (Texas) Council 7445 hosted its 12th annual 40 Cans for Lent food drive at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. By the end of Lent, 9,000 pounds of food were collected and donated to the Mamie George Community Center, which provides food to more than 800 families per week.
29 Dreams Funded
Bishop Charles Francis Buddy Council 6031 in Poway, Calif., awarded nearly $38,000 in scholarships to 29 high school seniors, college students and trade school students who are parishioners at St. Gabriel Parish. The scholarships ranged from $800 to $3,000, and the funds came from the council’s annual dinner fundraiser and individual donations.
Fighting Hunger
Since April 2022, Blessed Sacrament Council 1412 in Chatham, Ontario, has organized food drives to support the Salvation Army’s Chatham-Kent Ministries Food Bank, which operates at five area locations. Donations have totaled more than 116,000 pounds of food and CA$30,000 in cash.
Backyard Brotherhood
Twelve Knights from Our Lady of Mount Carmel Council 9665 in San Diego spent three hours cleaning the backyard of Paterno Guevarra, a brother Knight who has been bedridden for two years.
School Supplies Galore
Archbishop John L. May Council 11480 in Enterprise, Ala., supported the annual Back-to-School Bash organized by the Coffee County Family Services Center for families in the Wiregrass area. More than 500 children received backpacks filled with school supplies and tote bags containing toiletries. The council donated $3,500 and helped prepare and volunteer the day of the event.
Rolling out Meals
Members of Harry “Hap” Hansen III Council 12281 in Hampstead, N.C., prepared meals for 40 homebound adults through the council’s Meals on Wheels program with Pender County Senior Services. The Knights prepare and deliver meals once a month and have provided about 450 meals since 2024.
Chilly Charity
St. William Council 10757 in Naples, Fla., donated $5,600 to an outreach center for people experiencing homelessness, operated by Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Venice, to purchase a new freezer after the previous one failed. The donation came from proceeds of the council’s monthly parish breakfasts at St. William Catholic Church.
A+ Scholarship
Marquette Council 588 in Sparta, N.J., recently awarded a $1,000 academic scholarship to a student going into his senior year at Pope John XXIII Regional High School. The award was presented during the school’s annual banquet.
Meals for All
Holy Spirit Council 13919 in Malolos City, Luzon North, provided rice porridge, bread and water to nearly 200 people evacuated due to recent typhoons and monsoons. The council also distributed packs of rice to parishioners in need at Holy Spirit Parish.
Giving Families Hope
St. Clare of Assisi Council 12851 in Surprise, Ariz., collaborated with the Society of St. Vincent de Paul ministry at St. Clare of Assisi Parish to launch a widows and orphans assistance project named in honor of Father Michael McGivney. As part of the project, the council gave four $500 gift cards to widows and single mothers, along with a note explaining Father McGivney’s vision.

More than 60 Knights from Visayas District #46 pooled donations totaling 1,799 PHP (about $30) for Grand Knight Juanito Baculao of Holy Cross-Bilangbilangan Council 18046 in Bien Unido to help with medical costs related to his wife’s recent hospitalization.

Father John F. Murphy Council 1943 in Mystic, Conn., has long supported the Pawcatuck Neighborhood Center, a local social services agency. Since 2016, the council has donated nearly 16,000 pounds of food and winter coats valued at more than $5,300.

Revved Up for Veterans
Members of Manordale Valley Council 4226 in Murrysville, Pa., and volunteers prepare sausage sandwiches for the council’s annual car show at St. John de La Salle Parish on Memorial Day weekend. The show, which featured more than 350 show cars and was attended by about 400 people, raised $15,000 for Westmoreland Food Bank’s Military Share Program; PA Hero Walk, which supports veterans in need of housing, food and more; Clelian Heights, a Catholic ministry for individuals with disabilities; and the parish.

Knights from Father Vincent S. Sikora Council 7992 in Burke, Va., and parishioners from Nativity Catholic Church build a house in McCreary County, Ky., for a family of three during a homebuilding mission trip in Appalachia. This was the 27th house completed by Council 7992 in partnership with the Appalachian Construction Crew since 2001.
Media Ministry

Smoke’n for Jesus
Grand Knight Jim Moss of Father Puetz Council 6550 in Harrisonville, Mo., grills chicken for the annual Smoke’n for Jesus barbecue competition and community meal at Harrisonville Community Church. Council 6550’s team, representing Our Lady of Lourdes Parish, competed against nine other local churches for the event, which gathered hundreds for Christian fellowship. Council members were also able to share information about the Catholic Church to several people who inquired.
Socks for Souls
Knights from Bishop Hugh C. Boyle Assembly 922 in Washington, Pa., display socks collected during the assembly’s “Socks for Souls” campaign. The campaign, held over two weeks at 13 churches with support from three K of C councils, collected nearly 2,000 pairs of new socks for veterans and their families.

Honoring Fallen Brothers
Knights from Kingston (N.Y.) Council 275 gather behind the Knights of Columbus Memorial during a council service day at St. Mary’s Cemetery. Council members took care of landscaping, including weeding, adding mulch and planting flowers. The memorial is dedicated to all members of Council 275 who have died since it was chartered in 1897. The cleanup is organized each spring, with light maintenance provided year-round.
Patriotic Parade
A color guard from St. Mary Magdalene Assembly 2517 in Humble, Texas, leads the annual Fourth of July parade in Kingwood. Assembly 2517 has participated in the parade since 1998, and several associated councils participate as well. More than 11,000 people attended this year’s parade.

The team is operated by Athletes in Action, a Christian global sports ministry, and Council 9830 hosts fundraisers at Chinooks home games to support the team’s equipment and travel costs. Since 2012, the council has donated more than $15,000 to the team.
15 Years of Habitat Builds

Deacon Danny McCay, council faith director and deacon at Holy Infant of Prague Parish, learned the parishioner’s previous carport was leaking and structurally unsound. Materials worth more than $1,000 were donated by Carmon Construction Inc., and nearly 20 Knights volunteered to complete the project.
Operation Ice Cream
Members of Iron River (Mich.) Council 2300 served “black cows” (root beer floats), ice cream, sodas and cookies to 30 residents, family members and staff at the Iron Mountain Veterans ADM Hospital. Council 2300 organizes this Black Cow event four times throughout the year.
Honoring Vietnam Vets
More than 30 Vietnam War veterans and one widow were honored during a ceremony hosted by Msgr. Sliney Assembly 628 in Laconia, N.H. The assembly organized the event to mark the 50th anniversary of the end of the Vietnam War, holding it March 29 to correspond with National Vietnam War Veterans Day. Many of the veterans recognized were also brother Knights from councils and assemblies around the area.
Ramp of Honor
Members of Our Lady of Grace Council 12948 in Thomaston, Ga., helped fund and build a ramp at the home of a U.S. Marine Corps veteran who recently had a stroke. The ramp cost $3,000, of which Council 12948 covered half, with parishioners from St. Peter the Rock Catholic Church donating the rest.
Teeing off for Charity
St. Mary’s Council 14224 in Holliston, Mass., hosted its fourth annual Swing for Charity golf tournament at Pinecrest Golf Club. More than 90 people participated, and Knights announced the winners of their 17th annual charity raffle at the end of the night. Both events combined to raise $30,000 for several local charities.
A Year in Review
Family of Man Council 7566 in Reston, Va., raised $22,000 during the past fraternal year from its monthly breakfasts at St. John Neumann Catholic Church. The funds were distributed among several charities, including veterans organizations, food banks and more. The council’s semiannual fund drive for people with disabilities raised an additional $5,000.
Candy and Community
Dysart (Saskatchewan) Council 5557 sponsored a float for the Cupar Gopher Drop parade on July 5. Council members passed out candy to more than 200 community members in attendance.
Pars with Purpose
St. William Council 12618 in Guntersville, Ala., hosted its third annual golf tournament fundraiser at Gunter’s Landing, a local golf club. More than 100 golfers competed at the event, which raised $18,000. Three donations of $5,000 each were made to Kelly’s Rainbow, which helps women and children affected by domestic abuse; Marshall County Home Place, an organization that assists people experiencing homelessness; and Man Up Gadsden, a nonprofit that provides cancer education, prevention and support services to men. The remaining $3,000 will be donated to charities by Council 12618 throughout the year.
Lifting Groceries and Spirits
Earlier this year, the only elevator at the Regency North apartment complex in Manchester, N.H., was out of service for an extended period. For nearly 12 weeks, members of Our Lady of the Cedars Council 5260 volunteered to carry groceries for several older or disabled residents.
Parading the Pledge
Knights from Holy Spirit Assembly 1979 in Dublin, Calif., provided a color guard and carried the U.S. flag in the town’s 50th annual Fourth of July Parade. More than 20,000 people attended, and Knights led the Pledge of Allegiance at various stops along the 1.5-mile route. Council 4060 has participated in the parade for more than 20 years.
Not Alone
Annapolis (Md.) Council 1384 raised more than $36,000 during its annual fundraiser to support research and awareness of fibrodysplasia ossificans progressiva — a rare genetic disorder in which muscle and connective tissues are gradually replaced by bone. Council 1384 established the event two years ago, after a Knight’s son was diagnosed with the disease.
Books, Movies and Meals
John F. Kennedy Council 5517 in Canton, Pa., donated $250 to help sponsor the Rialto Theatre’s summer cinema reading program — a monthly book club for students in grades K-6 that includes reading a book and then watching its film adaptation. Knights also grilled hot dogs for more than 50 participants at the three summer gatherings.
Candy and Camaraderie
Members of St. Philippine Duchesne Assembly 571 in St. Charles, Mo., provided an honor guard for the St. Charles County Riverfest Parade on the Fourth of July. As they walked 2.5 miles through downtown St. Charles, the Knights distributed candy to more than 500 spectators. Assembly 571 has participated in the parade for over 30 years.
Pajamas for Vets
St. Isaac Jogues Assembly 649 in Fairfield, N.J., and the youth group at St. Peter Church in Belleville organized their third annual pajama drive for patients at the East Orange and Lyons VA medical centers. More than $4,000 was collected to purchase over 400 pairs of pajamas for veterans in need.
For(E) a Good Cause
All Saints Council 14475 in Lake Wylie, S.C., hosted its fifth annual charity golf outing at Tega Cay Country Club. The event raised more than $39,000, which the council will use to support programs at All Saints Catholic Church and several local charities, including Clover Area Assistance Center; RideAbility and Victory Farms, which provide therapeutic horsemanship; and River Hills/Lake Wylie EMS.
Fishing for Charities
Three councils near Dayton, Ohio,— Father Martin T. Gilligan Council 14882, Father Charles E. Mentrup Council 14400, and St. Joseph Council 4587 — jointly hosted a fish fry at St. Henry Church. More than $14,500 was raised and divided evenly among the councils for donation to charity, including a homeless shelter run by the St. Vincent de Paul Society, Bishop Leibold School, and scholarships for Catholic high school students.
Never Alone
Father Vincent R. Capodanno Assembly 2413 in Georgetown, Del., partnered with 22aday.org to set up a display of white crosses at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church. Over 30 days, 22 crosses were added daily to represent the alarming number of U.S. military veterans who die by suicide each day. The campaign aimed to raise awareness about mental health challenges facing veterans.
Old Glory Honored
Commodore John Barry Assembly 712 in Elmhurst, N.Y., organized a flag retirement ceremony to honorably dispose of 30 U.S. flags in accordance with the U.S. Flag Code. During the ceremony, the assembly also recognized Frederick Bedell Jr., a Fourth Degree Knight and grand knight of St. Anastasia Council 5911 in Little Neck, for his military service in Vietnam and contributions to the Order.
Abayan Festival
Nearly 50 Knights from several councils and assemblies near Butuan City, Mindanao, participated in the 2025 Abayan Festival — an annual religious and cultural event honoring St. Anne, patroness of the Agusan River. Knights provided an honor guard during a 30-minute procession from St. Joseph Cathedral to a nearby Philippine Ports Authority site, where Mass was celebrated. They then accompanied the image of St. Anne during the three-hour river parade.
Community Cookout
St. Paul VI Council 14664 in Hamden, Conn., hosted a cookout for more than 50 residents of Columbus House Inc., a homeless shelter in New Haven. The council organizes the event twice a year.
Swinging for the Fences
Members of St. Dominic-Delhi Council 15533 in Cincinnati grilled and served sausages and hamburgers to about 400 people at a tailgate party for the annual Delhi Township Skirt Game — a softball game that raises money for residents in need. Council 15533 has supported the event since 2012 and contributed a $500 donation this year.
A Greener Future
Zambales Council 3694 and Bishop Henry Byrne Assembly 3637 in Iba, Luzon North, organized a tree planting event in several villages throughout Zambales province. More than 20 Knights planted 200 seedlings during the day of service.
Patriotic Nights
Regina Coeli Council 2274 in Easton, Md., organized the city’s annual Fourth of July carnival, held June 20 to July 4. Thousands attended over the two weeks to enjoy food, rides and live music, capped off by fireworks on Independence Day. The carnival generated $10,000, which Council 2274 will donate to local organizations and charities in Talbot County.
International Champ
St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Council 10169 in Lakeland, Fla., presented Resurrection Catholic Church parishioner Liam Maloney with a trophy recognizing his victory in the 2024-25 International Soccer Challenge for the 14-year-old age group. Liam began by competing in a penalty kick contest hosted by Council 10169 and advanced through district, regional and state levels.
Keeping the Arts Alive
Albany (N.Y.) Council 173 made donations, including the sponsorship of individual Knights’ participation who all made personal donations throughout, to a charity golf outing supporting Yaddo, a nonprofit retreat place for artists in Saratoga Springs.

One Drive, Many Blessings

Helping Her Choose Life
Knights from Three Apostles Council 7752 in Buena Vista, Colo., assemble by a council-sponsored billboard installed at a parishioner’s ranch along Colorado Highway 285 promoting local pregnancy resource centers. Council 7752 raised nearly $3,000 to fund the project, and local businesses donated wood and fasteners that Knights used to construct the billboard. Since 2020, the council has raised more than $7,300 for Buena Vista Pregnancy Center and also supports Buena Vista’s annual walk for life.

Luis Ramos, a member of Santo Domingo de Guzmán Council 14383 in Yauco, Puerto Rico, donates blood during Council 14383’s recent blood drive. Council 14383 has hosted blood drives twice a year for the past nine years in collaboration with the Puerto Rico Medical Center. Since 2016, more than 450 pints of blood have been donated.

Grand Knight Marcus Agustin (second from right) and other members of Edwardsville (Ill.) Council 1143 present a $15,000 check to Kathy Lesnoff, CEO of Mosaic Health, which operates two local pregnancy resource centers. Through the Ultrasound Initiative, the Supreme Council matched Council 1143’s donation, for a total of $30,000 toward the purchase of a new ultrasound machine for Mosaic.
For the Unborn
Knights from St. John Neumann Council 5971 in Plantation, Fla., present a $2,600 check to Father Yamil Miranda, pastor of All Saints Catholic Church and a brother Knight, to commission a monument to the unborn for the parish. Council 5971’s donation came at the request of the parish and will cover the total cost.
Support on All Fronts
Past Grand Knight Charles Matter of Wooster (Ohio) Council 789 and Bekah Hilty, executive director of the Pregnancy Care Center of Wayne County, stand behind baby supplies and cash donations worth more than $300 collected by Council 789 for the center. The council has raised more than $70,000 for the center since April 2014, in addition to $800 contributed by the Supreme Council through the ASAP program. Council 789 also donated $500 to Biking for Babies, a pro-life organization whose work includes a national bike ride — with nine routes across the Midwest and eastern United States — to raise money and awareness for pregnancy resource centers and pregnant mothers in need.
Bottles of Blessings
Knights from St. Mary Council 13095 in Hillsborough, N.H., and council chaplain Father Marcel Martel present a check for nearly $5,500 to Kellie Ljungholm, executive director of Care Women’s Center of Concord. Funds were collected through the council’s annual baby bottle campaign at St. Theresa Parish in Henniker and St. Mary Parish in Hillsborough. Over the past five years, the campaign has raised more than $21,000 for the center.
Ultrasound Upgrade

Father Jeremiah O’Callaghan Council 3659 in Inver Grove Heights also raised about $12,000 for the center, which will use the funds to replace a 12-year-old ultrasound machine.

Brite Future Ahead
Archbishop James V. Casey Council 9349 in Littleton, Colo., donated $10,500 to Birthline of Colorado, the state’s oldest pregnancy center, to help the center construct a new facility, BriteStar Health, to expand its services. Council 9349 has supported Birthline since 1985.
Generosity Spans Decades
St. Matthew Council 10852 in Charlotte, N.C., raised more than $50,000 during its annual fund drive for people with disabilities, with proceeds benefiting the LAMB Foundation of N.C. — a charitable organization founded in 1960 by Past State Deputy William Scott that helps people with intellectual disabilities. Over more than two decades, Council 10852 has donated over $1.3 million to the foundation, which itself has raised more than $27 million since its inception.
Upholding the Sanctity of Life
Anton J. Frank Council 8771 in Houston donated $1,200 to Loving Choice, a pregnancy resource center. Since the donation was made through the ASAP program, the Supreme Council gave Loving Choice an additional donation of $200.
2,000 Reasons to Keep Giving
St. Anastasia Council 5911 in Little Neck, N.Y., hosted its semiannual blood drive at St. Anastasia Parish, collecting 55 pints of blood. Council 5911 has hosted two blood drives a year for more than 40 years, with donations totaling more than 2,000 pints.
Kansans for Life
Holy Spirit Council 16159 in Goddard, Kan., partnered with Kansans for Life to organize a baby bottle campaign at the Church of the Holy Spirit. The fundraiser, held over five weeks, raised more than $1,900 for Kansans for Life.
A Tribute to Life
Our Lady of the Dunes Council 15773 in Florence, Ore., raised $7,800 to commission a monument to the unborn for St. Mary, Our Lady of the Dunes Catholic Church. The funds came from council fundraisers, individual donations and the council’s auxiliary women’s group.
Supporting Local
At the West Virginia State Convention, more than $28,000 was collected from council donations to be distributed to maternity homes across the state. Four councils in the Martinsburg area donated $7,200 to Mary’s Refuge Maternity Home. The donation, made through the ASAP program, was followed by an additional $1,800 donation from the Supreme Council.
Relocating Remembrance
Members of Our Lady of Batavia (N.Y.) Council 11728 removed and relocated the council’s memorial to unborn children from St. Mary Church, which was closed by the Diocese of Buffalo in 2024, to Notre Dame High School. Knights installed a new cement foundation in the school’s Marian grotto for the monument.
Supporting Parenthood
St. Stanislaus Council 10258 in Bandera, Texas, raised $8,500 during its annual drive for the Pregnancy Resource Center of Kerrville. Council 10258 has supported the center since July 2018, with donations totaling over $75,000.
Pro-Life Unity
Three councils in Florida — Cape Canaveral Council 4826 in Cocoa Beach, St. John the Evangelist Council 11348 in Cocoa, and Our Lady of Space Council 5667 in Titusville — raised more than $27,000 with other pro-life groups and individuals to purchase an ultrasound machine for Pregnancy Care Center at BETA in Titusville. The Supreme Council matched the amount through the Ultrasound Initiative, for a total of $55,000. Father Chris Bugno, pastor of St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church and chaplain of Council 5667, blessed the machine at a dedication ceremony.
First Step in Saving Lives
San Diego (Calif.) Mother Council 1349 partnered with San Diego Blood Bank to host a blood drive at Immaculata Catholic Church after Sunday morning Masses on June 29. This was the council’s first time hosting a blood drive; 25 pints were collected.
Funds for All
Sts. Cosmas and Damian Council 13341 in Lakewood Ranch, Fla., raised $10,650 through its annual fund drive for people with disabilities. Three equal donations of $3,550 were given to St. Mary Academy, a school for students with disabilities; The Haven, a service provider for adults and children with disabilities; and Special Olympics Florida–Manatee County.
One Pint at a Time
Father Patrick McAlpine Council 9094 in Biloxi, Miss., and Sacred Heart Parish in D’Iberville partnered with the American Red Cross for a blood drive that collected more than 35 pints of blood. Some of the donations were used immediately to help a child at a local hospital. Council 9094 has organized blood drives for more than 15 years, with total donations exceeding 650 pints.
Two Councils, One Pro-Life Mission
St. Thomas à Becket Council 16236 in Orlando, Fla., and Epiphany Council 12569 in Port Orange raised a combined $26,500 to help purchase an ultrasound machine for JMJ Pregnancy Center in Orlando. The Supreme Council provided a $9,000 match through the Ultrasound Initiative, bringing the total to $35,000.
Clean Water for All
Immaculate Conception Council 8159 in Mechanicsville, Md., funded the construction of a 100-meter-deep well with a solar-powered pump at the Siuyu Children’s Rehabilitation Center in Singida, Tanzania. The village previously relied on unfiltered rainwater. The new well, which cost nearly $12,000, provides clean water to more than 100 children with disabilities and their families, as well as the surrounding community of more than 1,000 people.
Bottled Blessings
Msgr. Richard C. Madden Council 6629 in Summerville, S.C., organized a baby bottle drive at St. John the Beloved Catholic Church that raised $23,000 in cash and more than $1,600 worth of maternity and infant supplies. Donations were given to Clare’s Home, a new maternity home for pregnant mothers in the Diocese of Charleston.
Special Olympics Boosters
Mario “Chick” Alberghini Council 13277 in Navarre, Fla., donated $12,000 to Special Olympics Florida to help athletes with travel and lodging costs for state and national competitions. The funds came from the council’s annual golf tournament. Since 2022, Council 13277 has donated $52,000 to Special Olympics Florida.
A Rose for Our Mother
Watertown (Wis.) Council 1478 and Christopher Columbus Assembly 2275 in Columbus, Wis., partnered with the Hispanic community of St. Thérèse of Lisieux Parish to organize a pro-life prayer procession and Mass at St. Bernard Church in Watertown. More than 70 people walked about 10 blocks with a Knights of Columbus Silver Rose before Mass, which was celebrated by Bishop Donald Hying of Madison. He was joined by Father Timothy Renz, council chaplain and pastor of St. Thérèse, and Father David Drefcinski, parochial vicar and a Brother Knight. After Mass, participants gathered for Eucharistic adoration and a luncheon.
Nativity House Blessings
St. Paul the Apostle Council 11232 in Peotone, Ill., donated $500 to Nativity House, a Catholic nonprofit that provides housing and support for expectant mothers. Because the donation was submitted through the ASAP program, the Supreme Council will provide an additional $100 gift to the organization.
A Round for Life
Christ the King Council 12165 in Tampa, Fla., donated more than $19,000 — proceeds from its annual charity golf outing — to Knights Women’s Center, a local pregnancy resource center. The gift was matched by the Supreme Council through the Ultrasound Initiative for the purchase of a new ultrasound machine.
