The Order’s “Into the Breach” video series will be broadcast by EWTN from Tuesday, Sept. 8, through Friday, Sept. 11, at 5:30 p.m. (EDT) daily.
“Into the Breach,” is based on Phoenix Bishop Thomas J. Olmsted’s well-received 2015 apostolic exhortation of the same name, which called men to be prepared for the spiritual battle for their souls and the souls of their families.
The videos feature commentary from Phoenix Bishop Olmsted, author and theologian Dr. Scott Hahn, prominent Catholic speaker Father Mike Schmitz, former NFL player Matt Birk, and FOCUS founder Curtis Martin, among others.
Through the powerful witness of these prominent Catholic men, viewers are inspired to take the next steps on their spiritual journeys and are guided on successfully meeting the day-to-day challenges they face as Catholic men. The videos also encourage men to fulfill their higher purpose.
Supreme Knight Carl Anderson said, “Catholic men and fathers shoulder a great responsibility. Our role in evangelization is indispensable, especially within our homes as we build our domestic churches.”
He added, “Our families and our parishes need our faithful witness more than ever. As Catholic men and as Knights of Columbus, it is our duty to ‘step into the breach’ and play our part in the renewal of our families and the Church.”
Through “Into the Breach,” the Knights of Columbus is carrying out the vision of its founder, Venerable Father Michael McGivney, to offer Catholic men tools and opportunities to grow faith, pursue Christ-like virtue, and become better Catholics, husbands and fathers. Father McGivney will be beatified on Oct. 31.
In addition to being broadcast on EWTN, Into the Breach videos and study guides are available at kofc.org/intothebreach.
