St. Thomas Chapel at Yale University was one site marking the 500th anniversary of the birth of St. Thomas More. Reverend Richard Russell was celebrant of the Mass that K of C officers and executives attended on Feb. 7, 1987.
More was canonized in 1935 as a martyr. The Knights of Columbus supported the Yale Edition of the Complete Edition of the Complete Works of St. Thomas More. Supreme Knight Anderson addressed Yale students at the Saint Thomas More Center on the topic “Bringing Integrity: Ethics and Business Practices” in 2004. In 2016, the Knights’ Saint John Paul II Shrine opened the international exhibit: God's Servant First: Life and Legacy of Thomas More.
