Since the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, over the course of three months, members of Most Precious Blood Council 6134 and St. Finbar Council 15728 in Brooklyn have collectively packaged and distributed a week’s worth of food to 100 local families. Beginning with six families who were unable to receive unemployment or stimulus checks, the councils used personal loans to purchase and deliver food to families in need.
The number of aided neighbors has now risen to 600 total men, women and children. Additionally, council officers continue to reach out to members of their parish and grow the number of volunteers. These Knights held blood drives and helped feed the front line medical staff. These brother knights are committed to leave no neighbor behind.
