A family business in Puerto Rico has adapted its usual functions not only for its own business subsistence, but more importantly to serve the community.
Edwin Berrios-Aviles and his nephew Geovannie Berrios-Suazo – both members of the Knights of Columbus – work together in a business that produces customized t-shirts. Today, they have completely transformed their business to facilitate the production of face protection masks with filters to combat the spread of COVID-19. They have received orders from dozens of companies who seek to use them to protect their employees.
Together with our brother Knights, the Berrios family has donated hundreds of masks to members of the Puerto Rican Police Corps. They also produce hundreds of masks every day to fulfill orders on the island, providing for the people in their community.
We are grateful to God for the works that these Knights and so many around the world are doing to leave no neighbor behind. Their work helps lift our spirits as we face our challenges during the pandemic.
